The glow flashed even more intensely for a brief second as something metallic sounded out. Something heavy and large impacted the floor. Soon, the light began to fade, revealing the entity that had been summoned forth from beyond. Kneeling upon one knee, the dominating physical form of a fully-armored knight replaced empty air, head bowed to the magician. Taking a moment to gather himself, the knight turned his head upwards slowly, gazing upon Alice with a helm of glistening silver, and eyes that could not be seen. His blue, regal cape settled around his body, laying upon the floor gently and without a sound. As if a giant rising from a long slumber, the knight rose to two feet, towering over Alice, and making the ceiling seem far shorter than normal. Staring her down, he remained silent before scanning over himself. First his hand, then his chestplate, and then his cape. A hand rested on his sheathed sword as he seemed to ponder over something. Finally, he spoke. "You are... my Master, I presume?" he asked in a gentle tone. After Alice answered, the knight summarily unsheathed his sword pointing the tip down to the floor, before letting it settle like a cane. The metal clanged briefly, and held firm. "Then I, your Servant, shall carry out your will with utmost determination and grace. I am Rider, the man who's soul, kept within his works, shall never die. My name has branded itself upon the world, and at some time, you may discover it within yourself. For now, simply call me Rider." Hugues gripped the pommel of his sword tightly as an arcane burst pulsated down its length and into the floor. "As your Servant, your home shall be the Temple that I guard with my life, as I would were it the sanctuary of God Almighty himself. Your soul will be its heart that I treasure as the Chalice contained within." Hugues stood before Alice, seeming quite readied for orders or talk. Faceless as he was with his helm, his aura spoke to Alice as someone who was fond of talk and socialization. Something about his aura... seemed as if he were a true teammate. A team player in the truest sense.
