Welcome to the world of Walmart Apocalypse (WalApoc), where Walmart just kept growing and absorbing until they became the WalWorld Corporation and their stores now covers unimaginable tracts of land on a scale equivalent of some US states or smaller European nations. Everyone inside doesn’t know how large it truly is beyond that they know they will never see even a building wall. Its quite the read and I won't bother trying to abbriviating it here but here's the short list I will provide: [list][*]Walmart took over the world's industries, becoming the WalWorld Corporation which replaced major world governments built absurdly massive superstores that to this day no one has ever found a way out. They are seemingly infinitely large and absurdly high and are restocked by robots with goods from places unknown, not that anyone really cares. [*][color=cccccc]Calling this place a "super store" does not do it justice as it is more of an internal nation, not even just a city.[/color] [*]Many biomes have been created with people and cultures forming, each as absurd or unsettling as the next, misunderstanding things we would find to be common knowledge. "Departments" have become a catch all term for factions and subfactions which have sprung up out of the departments they inhabit. [*][color=cccccc]The robots who act as restocking units and security are lethal; if they do not kill you outright with machine gun blasts, they will lobotomize you and turn you into a mindless Greeters, forever left smiling as they greet and spout advertisement and act as additional mindless drones for the robots.[/color] [*]Sam Walton, aka the Great Sam, is the basically the new God. While local flavors and other deities may exist, no one doubts the divinity and power of the Great Sam, bringer of great deals and life. Everyone worships him to some extent. Its kinda like fallout/mad max/walking dead/I robot/etc all mashed together put into a nightmarish WalNation.[/color] [/list] As to the RP itself, the primary focus will be Bloody Friday, the bastardized version of Black Friday which the Stockerbots line the shelves will all the goodies and things that all the Department wants. Players would be a group of Bargain Hunters and try to scout out and loot and explore whatever they can. Might be lead by a GM character, might not be and the whole thing plays out like a DnD group. Explore stuff, try not to die horribly The "lore" will hopefully be built upon by the players and GM although I will be bending/altering currently "established" lore. CSs will be given the "mob democracy" review in which everyone gets to review and critique each other's character but I as GM will have final say. That said, come into this RP knowing that I can be a hardass GM at times and that there will still be limits as to what your characters will be like (ie having guns is something that will be heavily looked into) as well as being able to write at a high casual level and remain level headed and accept that things will not always make scientific sense. However, not being a full noble with all the power, prestige and wealth that comes with it means that he doesn’t have the resources to truly pull together s [*] [b]Stubborn[/b] - Strong willed, Lewis doesn’t take things lying down and doesn’t quiet easily. Good thing for when the going gets tough, not so good when you walk head first into the Baby Goods Department. Also wears a reinforced metal bowl over his head as a helmet with a feathered flume made of Dire Raven feathers (think of British WW1 helmets). [*] [b]Vambrace Shield[/b] - Instead of having an actual shield, Lewis has strong, reinforced forearm guards that he uses to parry and block instead. Lewis got them from his travels in from a clan in the Meat section of the Food Department. Does jack shit against heavy and ranged weapons though. [*] [b]Bag of Dice[/b] - A small pouch of dice that Lewis has on him, often pulling them out on down time to play guessing or betting games with; the pouch contains one twenty sided die given to him by an old dorf friend as a good luck token before he died. [*] [b]Cleaver Axe and Las-Revolver[/b] - Primary weapons of Lewis; the axe came with his Vambrace Shields and is the blade of a meat cleaver on a wooden handle that forms a sort of hatchet/axe while the Las-Revolver was a gift from his father when he first started his life as a Bargain Hunter as a farewell gift, its cylinder can hold 5 AA batteries at once but is single action. [/list][/indent] [b]| BIOGRAPHY |[/b] [indent]Lewis’s life began as a political maneuver between a minor noble of House Nike and a group of Tronboyz known as the Nervs. His mother was a daughter of the Sinesia and his father a respected warrior of the Nervs; it was hoped that such a marriage would solidify an alliance which would then provide the House of Nike with discounts on blaster weapons. Growing up, Lewis’s life would be split between time with both Departments of his herritage. In his youth he was brought up by courtiers and tutors of House Nike where he learned to read, write, plot, plan and organize along with how to fight to some extend. All the basics needed for Clothing Department nobility. Which apparently includes knowing how to shank someone and punch them in the face. When he was 10, he then spent more time with the Electronics Department. For 5 years he learned the ways of the Tron, honing his martial skills as well as creating a lust for old world things. Such was this drive that when he was 16, he set out to become a Bargain Hunter. Sometimes he would do it alone, sometimes with a group. Sometimes he had a patron sometimes he didn’t.
