Pretty much. Her planet did have a lot of large, apex predators, and while probably not as dangerous as the ones on this planet, she still can fend them off without the use of her mana since the pool she can draw from is much smaller than a human's. Not to mention, she should be the one who finds it easiest to obtain food, clean water, and build a shelter.
