[@6slyboy6] While you do have a point, this is an RP, so we can make anything happen :) Maybe this new syndicate popped up out of nowhere, or maybe they were underground for a long time and have just recently come back into power. Also, this RP is about trying to stop them, so the part the actual Mafia will play will be relativity small. It could be that the syndicate is already falling apart, but the families are trying to make it look as if they are still powerful. Of course this is all up to the GM, but again this is an RP where we use our imagination to tell stories, we're not writing a book about recent events in 2017. 

Also, if you weren't interested, you didn't have to post. You could have kept scrolling to find a more realistic looking RP. Or you could have stopped with your question. Telling someone you think their RP is going to fail is just rude.
