Allard gave a chuckle as he watched the Lis get more than a little peeved at the one who called himself 'Jackal'. After thinking for a moment on the subject matter of silver weapons and cost he heard Lis speak of just wearing silver seemed to keep a man protected from bites from the undying. Allard knew he didn't have money to buy anything so he would be of little help financially. He was starting to wonder if he could go on this quest. Sure he wanted to help, but he couldn't even buy cheap leather armor at this time, let alone silver or silver infused weapons. "What if we just made a few spearheads with steel and silver and used those? We could then fasten them to short spear shafts and it would be cheaper than buying even one or two full length swords made of the same material. Plus, a spearhead would have the advantage of the metal being in a smaller, stouter piece instead of being drawn out and flimsy. Any weapon with a small metal head could be done the same as well: axe, club, warhammer, or even arrowheads." It made sense to him, though he wasn't sure if it was the best plans. not everyone seemed to fight with those types of weapons and even Allard was only used to using bows and spears. Though he was confident that he could use the other weapons he mentioned relatively well, they just weren't things he normally practiced with. "Though, I do wonder... Lis, would wearing even a slight bit of silver keep an undying from biting you, or was it just the placement of the silver about his neck that kept him safe from being bitten there specifically?" Allard didn't know much about what they were most likely going after, so he was hoping that his question wasn't too stupid of one.
