Sophia felt her muscles tighten, making her bruises flare up. Well, at least Rheese's expectations weren't too high, but this was going too far in the other direction.

You think that's all it's going to take to drain me?"[/color] Huffing, she scowled at both of them. This wasn't how Rheese had viewed her before. That was the problem, though. She could earn a few wows and gasps at first, but people were bound to learn about her limits sooner or later.

The more she thought about it, the less hungry she felt - and the constant, nagging worry that Hammer could still be around didn't help. She picked at her food, forcing herself to eat the last few mouthfuls. She had to be good for more than just party tricks. And she had to be able to help this group. She couldn't deny that, in a way, she was growing closer to them.

Kyra sniffed at the much larger Pokemon, before yapping and wagging her tail. She bounced around, her way of saying she wanted to play.

As Rachel mentioned yesterday's event, Amber's face grew solemn again. She put away her laptop. The email still weighed on her mind, but it was time to put her own issues aside for now. She remembered with a shudder what Ray had said to Rheese afterwards. About how, in a situation like that with nobody around to intervene, he could die.
