Alexis smiled brightly at the Seraphim woman as she took the drink given to her. "Thank you, Velai. My name is Alexis." She took a sip of the sweet drink, instantly reminded of how she used to drink a syrup-like sap quite similar to this when she was younger. The crimson liquid did have the tell-tale burning edge attributed to alcohol, but it was barely noticeable as she drained nearly half the glass before setting it down on the counter. She laughed lightly before speaking again, placing a childish look of innocence on her face as she did. "It's so sweet! Are you certain this isn't just pure sugar?" "And as for a room, I think I have enough-" She pulled the rest of the coins from her purse, counting them silently as she did. Seven. She only had seven coins left? She sat in silence for a moment as she tried to think where the rest of her money had gone. Of course she still had some items of value she could use for trade, but the coins were so much easier to use than the random chunks of metal and gems she's collected over time. She was about to speak again, to ask if they would accept anything other than coins, when she overheard one of the other patrons seated at the bar say that he would pay for her stay. She looked in surprise at the man, wondering for a moment just how drunk he was, because no one in their right mind would just throw money down for random strangers. She watched as he took Velai's hands, placing a beautiful flower that looked to be made of diamonds in the woman's palm before Alexis realized what he was most likely doing. She wouldn't interfere in him going after Velai, that was up to the Seraphim herself, but she wouldn't have herself be indebted to such an obvious romanticist. She frowned as she pulled another purse off of her belt, searching through it for a moment before producing two fine-looking yet small sapphires out of it along with a rough-cut chunk of a green-colored gem which she'd forgotten the name of. She wasn't exactly sure how much this was worth, but she was sure it would at least cover the ten gold pieces the man had dropped. She picked up her cup before walking over to tap the man on the shoulder, taking a sip of the sweet drink as she held out her hand to him with the three gems held gently in her open palm. "This is to repay you. I appreciate the favor, but I'd prefer not to be in debt to a man I don't even know." Pending whatever the man said or did in response, Alexis listened curiously to the conversation going on. "Wait, you're going to Fotia? Have you not heard about the attacks on the borders recently? I wasn't even sure I'd make it here to Sunfire safely and yet you want to go into an active warzone.." [@FallenTrinity][@Rai]
