Reading Arex's mind hey. 
Hmmm, as he doesn't know much himself he may be curious but at the same time he deffinatly wouldn't want someone he hardly knew snooping around when he had a guilty conscious. Plus he's not very trustful and quite afraid of what she might do.
But in his condition he could accidentally grant her permission without fully understanding what she asked.

Then again, much of his brain is also cybernetic. Kinda a three way split. So I'm not sure how it will go down?
