Two weeks after Lacy and Dick's honeymoon, the Graysons moved in an apartment together close enough to both of their workplaces. Ace, gladly, had been left with Lacy's grand apartment to himself. Which was great because then he could spread his mess of notes and his "functional disorganization". But his mind was not on whatever he was working on then, it was focused on picking a special someone from the airport by himself.
