[@TheUnknowable] Mm, true.  I often end up doing research when I want to be accurate for things, and even then I know I get stuff wrong.

I think the biggest difference here would be how the character feels about the fight, though.  Then again, Americans didn't really know how bad things were under Nazi rule until after the war was over, in many cases.

And you can spell Chanukkah about a dozen different ways in English.  =P
