Well, from what I know, Japanese mythology is [url=https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_legendary_creatures_from_Japan]relatively filled[/url] with spirits and ghosts. There are a few other mythological creatures such as the Kappa or the Oni, but the majority is spooky ghost stuff.
