Tsukuyomi narrowed her eyes. "If I had created Strange Gospel, why would I be telling you where to go to stop it?" the miko girl asked, cocking her head to one side and making the bells jingle again. "I'm not responsible for the kidnappings, either. Anyone who disappeared is likely within Apocrypha, if they're still alive." She gestured towards the screen again. Before she could respond to the other questions, Hikaru was quick to interject with her own. "Then what is Apocypha? What's been taking people there?" For a few moments, Tsukuyomi was silent. "... the Apocrypha is an echo, a reflection of your world within the physical space of the collective unconscious," she explained, deciding it was best to start with that. "It exists within the space created by humanity's existence, but is rejected by their reality. It's an apocryphal retelling of your world that can't coexist in the same space as it, but nevertheless exists. As for what's been taking people there..." The goddess's eyes became somewhat downcast. "I don't know yet. It's difficult for me to tell." Hikaru frowned, slightly. She had hoped that someone like this would be able to provide more information on... whatever the culprits were. But perhaps trying to approach the situation from this angle was not the best idea. This was an unconventional situation, after all. It was still hard to believe it was even real, but... Hikaru had to stay calm. She needed to know why they had been selected just as much as everyone else did, after all. "Strange Gospel originated from inside the enormous tower-" Tsukuyomi gestured to the tower visible in the dark cityscape, "-Which appeared several years ago and began to release dark creatures. I introduced the Apocrypha update in order to stall it, but it's beginning to recover." "You still haven't explained what Strange Gospel is doing," Hikaru pointed out. "Strange Gospel is creating fate from possibility," the small brunette girl quickly replied, "It's reaching into the infinite library of possibility that is the Akashic Record and drawing out possible futures. Once these futures are seen, it becomes crystallized. While there's no such thing as fate, when someone perceives a possible future it becomes their only future. By doing this on a large scale, Strange Gospel is being used to create a single future that cannot be deviated from." Hikaru stared for a moment. Certainly, there were some things there that she didn't understand, but what did all of that mean? A single future? "What kind of future?" Tsukuyomi shook her head. "I don't know. But I don't trust it. All of you have been exposed to Strange Gospel, and all of you were able to receive my contact. That's why I picked you." The small girl raised her suitcase, which fell open. Inside was... a set of variously-colored USB drives? "I'm sorry if this doesn't explain everything clearly, but I need people capable of receiving my contact through their dreams so easily. You can use Soul Arts," she continued, "These tools will grant you some sort of power that can let you combat the tower's spawn and enter it, in order to stop Strange Gospel."
