Phew, that actually took longer than expected. In any case, these would probably be the two characters I would like to submit [@Moonlit Sonata].
Name: Longinus Class: Lancer Gender: Male Appearance: Longinus has dark curly hair that is cut relatively short and a scruffy beard of the same color that covers his jawline and chin, leaving his cheeks as the only unshaven part of his face. His eyes are of a dark brown. Due to being a Roman soldier he has a muscular built and is clothed in standard Roman attire, though he sets himself apart by donning a velvet cloak over his armor to signify his status as a Saint.

Alignment: Lawful Good Personality: Previous to piercing the body of Christ with his lance, Longinus was but a Roman soldier stationed at the crucifixion to oversee the event. Though he was skeptical of Christ’s divinity like many others in his unit, everything changed the moment his eyesight was healed by the blood of the man he had murdered at the stake. Overcome by awe and guilt, Longinus vowed to uphold the teachings of God and repay him with a life of servitude. Longinus’ moral code is strictly bound by the 10 Commandments, seeing as he perceives them to be the absolute truth, and his reason for fighting in the War is to obtain the Holy Grail, the Divine Chalice that once held the blood of Christ, in order to fill it with the blood dripping from his Holy Lance of Longinus and offer it to the Christian God in an act of submission to the savior that has changed his life. As such, he perceives anybody who seeks the Grail for selfish reasons as sinners, steeling his resolve to claim it so that none others might defile it. Towards his Master he acts humble and subservient, instincts ingrained into him since his time in the army as a soldier, though that kindness extents to others in a show of good faith as well. While his behavior is clearly defined by his faith, he is not a fanatic that would force his religion upon others. As a Heroic Spirit he has become aware of the existence of other Gods other than his own, yet he has come to accept that fact. While he will continue to believe in the Christian God, he will not judge others for not sharing his view. After all, he is merely a human that has adapted to his newfound faith, and as such, he is bound to be flawed. History: Longinus was the solder that pierced the chest of Christ during his crucifixion. Even though he was previously blinded due to unknown reasons, he was cured by the blood of Christ that splashed out of his body upon being punctured, miraculously granting him the gift of sight. In that moment Longinus swore to follow the teachings of Christ and converted to the Christian Faith, his first deed being to retrieve Christ’s body and wash it clean. Not much else is known about his life after his conversion, but it is said that he traveled the world in the service of God, acting according to his will, helping those in need, and spreading his teachings. After death, as a punishment for killing the son of God, Longinus was confined to a cave in which he was chained to the rock, forced to be mauled by the Angel of Punishment Kushiel in the form of a lion from dusk till dawn, only to recover his injuries by nightfall before the cycle would repeat again for nigh an eternity. Only after Longinus suffered enough to absolve him of his crime was he finally released and allowed to ascend into the Throne of Heroes due to the masses worshiping him as a Saint. However, despite his official status as a Saint, Longinus is simply a soldier who was gifted with an exceptional honor; one could say he is a Saint in title only. Weapon: Holy Lance of Longinus, Sacred Shroud (Nameless) The Lance takes the shape of a long spear that is approximately two-and-a-half meters in length, the majority of it being made out of a dark-wooden shaft. With a decorative pommel on one end, the most important part of the spear would undoubtedly be it’s head. Though the bladed metal is made from common metals (seeing as this was originally a standard-issue weapon), it is wrapped in a golden sleeve that is inscribed with the words “Lancea et clavus Domini (Lance and Nail of the Lord)”. Meanwhile the Shroud Longinus wears is no more than a gift he received after ascending to Sainthood. It bears no name, or at least has yet to be given one, and simply boasts higher durability than normal cloths that can withstand the force of weaker projectiles. That being said, in a fight between Servants, this Shroud would do little to block any direct hit from a Servant's weapon. At this stage he is untouchable by any type of modern magecraft and can even resist thaumaturgy developed during the Age of Mysteries. Personal Skills: Saint (A) - Having been acknowledged as a Saint, Longinus is applicable to either of the four abilities that are granted by this Skill when summoned as a Servant: -) Raised effectiveness of Holy Sacraments -) Automatic HP Recovery -) One Rank-Up to Charisma -) Production of a Holy Shroud The one selected for Longinus is “Automatic HP Recovery”. Having pierced the body of God’s son, his Holy Lance is constantly weeping with the blood of Christ, so Longinus makes it a point to keep it wrapped up in blood-soaked bandages at all times to prevent it from leaking and to hide it's true nature. Originally a part of the one true son of God, the blood that coats the Holy Lance of Longinus can heal wounds and curses if drunk, and the same effect is transferred to the bandages that are soaked with Christ’s divine blood. Eye of the Mind, True (B) - This Skills is a heightened capacity for observation, refined through training, discipline and experience. By studying the body-language of his opponent, Longinus is able to somewhat predict his opponent's movements, though not to the extent of giving him a noticeable edge in combat. Essentially, this Skill simply allows for Longinus to keep a cool head even in the midst of combat, giving him the peace of mind to evaluate his current predicament without being swept away by a rush of panic or excitement. It is a passive Skill he gained by serving as a soldier for a majority of his life. Battle Continuation (A) - Due to his nigh eternal punishment at the hands of Kushiel, essentially his daily mauling that brought him close to death each time, Longinus gained the Personal Skill of Battle Continuation after becoming a Servant. This allows him to continue fighting even with a tattered and wounded body and remain alive until a fatal wound is dealt against his head or chest. Noble Phantasm: Name: Lancea et clavus Domini Title: Weeping Spear of Crucifixion Rank: A NP Type: Anti-Unit Range: 1-5 Maximum Number of Targets: 1-2 Description: The Lance of Longinus was the sacred relic that was said to have pierced the dying body of Christ as he was crucified. The spear inflicted Christ with the final of his Five Holy Wounds, the previous four being the nails driven through his palms and feet, and was ultimately the wound that ensured his death. To activate his Noble Phantasm Longinus must first remove the blood-stained bandages that cover the entirety of his spear and call out it’s true name, after which the spear must be thrust out and make contact with it’s target before it can take effect. At this point, the Noble Phantasm’s effects will vary depending on how often it has been used on a Servant. Upon it’s first use, provided the spear has managed to pierce it’s target’s skin, the blood coating the spear’s blade will seep into the victim’s vascular system and inflict them with the Cruse of Crucifixion, calling forth a phenomena that will inflict it’s victim with the same wounds that Christ had suffered while being crucified. Essentially, once the blood of Christ has become a part of it’s victim, it will forcibly cause four stigmata on their palms and feet to appear, wounds that are incurable by any ordinary healing magecraft aside from that of Saints or Divine Relics. While the wounded flesh itself can be recovered, the stigmata will persist until either Longinus or his Holy Spear are destroyed. The stigmata will continue to cause it’s bearer to suffer pain, though the pain is lessened to a bearable degree when far removed from the Lance of Longinus and disappears completely when in spiritual form, though it will resurface once the Servant assumed physical form again. In the case of Servants that rely on hand-to-hand combat or swordplay, this infliction will make it extremely difficult for them to continue fighting or use their Noble Phantasms, though it is still possible under extreme duress. Other measures that can be taken to avoid the effects of the stigmata include Mad Enhancement (allowing the Servant to ignore the pain), or drinking the blood of Christ. Upon it’s second use, provided the target is already marked with the four stigmata of Christ, Longinus will inflict the final of the Five Holy Wounds and kill the enemy Servant. In other words, this Noble Phantasm is one which kills in two hits, though due to Longinus’ low Mana Stat, he isn’t able to activate this Noble Phantasm consecutively lest he would risk annihilating himself due to using up all of his Mana.

Name: Watanabe Mitsuki Gender: Female. Age: 13 Personality: Much like how a sheath is incomplete without it’s respective weapon, Mitsuki actively seeks out people she can be with and devote herself to. She feels inherently lonesome and distraught if she is left by herself, though this does not mean that she is utterly dependent on whomever she has chosen as her partner. She simply feels the urge to “be with somebody” and is perfectly capable of acting independently on her own. For better or for worse, her personality is drastically shaped by the active nature of her Origin. If not begrudgingly, Mitsuki accepts this aspect of herself and has long since stopped fighting this urge, realizing that this is a part of herself that she has no control over. Raised as an apprentice as well as a daughter, she is a little more mature than other girls her age as she has been lectured on the risks of modern thaumaturgy and it’s associated society. That being said, she is only a child in the end and acts the part, being quick to follow her childish whims and retaining a sort of stubbornness common with children of younger age. Though she will not outwardly show it, Mitsuki craves praise, or rather, recognition from her actions whenever she is around her bonded partner for no other reason but to affirm the relationship between the two of them, provided she holds her partner dear. Appearance: Mitsuki’s heavy-stranded hair is styled in a black asymmetrical bob cut that she maintains herself, her eyes a gradient of brown in the center that disperses into a mild blue due to her central heterochromia. Her stature is on the petite side, and though her adoptive mother made sure to keep her body in a healthy condition to maximize the efficiency of her body’s natural mana production, she has little muscle and is unable to perform athletic feats without tiring herself out quickly. She has relatively bad eyesight, and while she owns contact lenses, she prefers the convenience of glasses. Her usual style of dress consists of thick tights that are either un-patterned or of dark color worn underneath short shorts, with light-weight hoodies layered under slightly oversized jackets in winter, and summer dresses in summer. No matter the season, Mitsuki will keep wearing tights and shorts on any day to prepare for the eventual need of traveling by broom, her lack of skirts and dresses in her wardrobe precisely due to the view offered to the passers-by below her when her broom carries her across the sky. Naturally Mitsuki is not opposed to wearing other clothes should the weather call for it. This is simply her preferred style of dress. She usually doesn’t use any accessories for fashion, but when studying, Mitsuki uses hair-clips to keep her bangs from falling into her view. While they don’t particularly bother her, this act is more of a habit to put her in the mood.

Biography: Mitsuki was taken in by the Mages Association after her father, a magus who experimented with the alteration of people’s Origins and their effects on the magical capabilities of the subject, was hunted down and killed by Enforcers. His research was still in it’s early stages, so his infant daughter was spared the application of his own experimental theories, yet she was nonetheless born with an awakened Origin; her Origin being “Sheath”. Amongst the group of enforcers that were dispatched to deal with the Dead Apostles spawned as a result of Mitsuki’s father’s research was a woman by the name of Amber, a Magi that acted as a professor of Witchcraft at the Clocktower. She realized the circumstances of Mitsuki’s birth and brought her back with her to raise her as a daughter/apprentice and observe the manifestation of her Origin over time. Amber raised Mitsuki by herself while balancing her role as a mother and mentor respectively. As is common with Magi children, Mitsuki was subjected to thaumaturgical training from a young age, though the awakened effects of her Origin prevented her from learning most basic spells, or at least master them to a usable degree. This learning block was especially noticeable in combat oriented spells, while restoration spells and supportive enchantments were less affected. Amber ultimately failed to draw out Mitsuki’s Origin as a usable power, though she kept her daughter/apprentice around so that she might assist her in her own research. That, and she had naturally become fond of her adopted child. A mysterious set of Command Seals one day appeared on the back of Mitsuki’s hand, marking her as a participant of the Holy Grail War. Family History: Not much is known aside from the fact that her father researched the Origins of people in regards to the physical and spiritual manners in which they would manifest in magi and non-magi with the goal of artificially enhancing one’s magical potential. While this research of people’s Origins might have initially been an attempt to reach the Root, it soon devolved into a more selfish cause. Origin: Sheath Elemental Affinity: Water Number of Magic Circuits: D Quality of Magic Circuits: C Od: A Magecraft: Basic Magecraft, Basic Witchcraft and Healing Magic, Touko Travel Origin: Sheath Passive: As a consequence of her awakened Origin, her body holds an unfathomable capacity for magical energy as “one who is meant to store things”. While her body itself is inefficient in producing high quantities of magical energy enough to even fill a fraction of her capacity, she still holds the potential to store inhuman amounts of mana regardless. Active: A sheath is the haven in which a weapon is stored after it’s use in combat, a protective mechanism used to shield it from wear and tear and keep it’s condition from deteriorating. If the sword is a weapon used in the heat of battle, then the sheath is the resting place one always aspires to return to. With her Origin awakened, coloring her mana in it’s color, Mitsuki is able to endow those that have come in contact with her magical energy with the boon of recuperation, much like a weapon stored to allow it rest. Those under it’s effects enjoy slightly accelerated healing and a permanent lack of fatigue so long as they continuously absorb Mitsuki’s mana. In essence, ingesting her mana endows one with a boost to one’s vitality. Special: As a sheath, she has no concrete shape nor form, no type of object she is limited to contain. Mitsuki was “empty" from birth, a consequence of her Origin which prevented her from learning even the most basic of spells. As a sheath she is inherently incomplete without a weapon to fill her, and such is the basis of her inherent Magecraft. Though she has no predetermined "form" as a sheath, Mitsuki shapes herself around the "weapon" that she is currently in contact with, be that a person or a physical armament. In the case of another magi for example, she would first need to absorb some of her partner's magical energy before her Origin would activate, with the end-result of Mitsuki gaining an increasingly high affinity for her partner's thaumaturgy to the point where she could learn it in a matter of days as opposed decades. Her use of a broom and medicinal herbs was likewise due to her upbringing under a mage that specialized in Witchcraft. In the case of a physical weapon, such as a sword, Mitsuki would gain insight in the skills and abilities that come with it, theoretically gaining the finesse of somebody who had mastered said weapon if she had the required physical strength and dexterity, which she does not. Her body is still young and underdeveloped, and as such she lacks the physical capabilities to replicate the movements she learns via her Origin, leaving her with merely the knowledge but no way of translating it into action. It is possible that this might change in the future if Mitsuki were to hone her Magecraft and allow it to further seep into her body, but as of now this is the limit of her Origin’s use. This is the manifestation of her Origin that her mother had failed to draw out, so Mitsuki is yet unaware of it’s existence.
