From the perspective of a girl who's into romantic novels more so than a movie, I can attest that some people are just sappy romantics.  Sword Art Online?  I literally only cared to watch it because of Kirito and Asuna.  Scorpion?  Sure, the general concept of geniuses solving weird problems was fun and all, but I really only keep watching to see how the Walter and Paige story plays out.  Game of Thrones?  Holy God, I could not get through the first episode without falling asleep.

I prefer living vicariously through other peoples' romantic stories because storybook crap sure as heck never happens to me.  Hope that answers your question! :)  [/b][/color]
