Taiyo remained stoic as his duel disk lit up, forming the solid light field in which he would play. He pulled his five cards, placing them into the special slot on his duel disk which he could examine each one.

He grabbed one of the cards, and revealed it to his opponent.

[color=6ecff6]"I active the effect of [color=be774b]Archfiend General[/color]. By sending it to the graveyard, I get to add a special [color=1fa291]Field Spell[/color] from my deck to my hand..."[/color]

He slid the card into his graveyard slot, and the duel disk slid a [color=1fa291]card[/color] out from his main deck. Taking it, he looked at his opponent with a knowing look. He then chose another card from his hand.

[color=6ecff6]"Next, I summon [color=be774b]Skilled Red Magician[/color]. This spellcaster has a history with the Archfiends, and I'll be sure that you find out why."[/color] As the card was placed on the field, the crimson robed spellcaster took shape.

[color=6ecff6]"Now for the card I added to my hand and I hope you're familiar with. I activate the [color=1fa291]Field Spell, Pandemonium[/color]!"[/color] He placed the card he had drew from his deck into his [color=1fa291]Field Spell[/color] Zone.

The holographic imagery around them was then immediately influenced by the [color=1fa291]spell card[/color], changing the scenery to a far more hellish and intimidating place.

Taiyo didn't seem phased.

[color=6ecff6]"I'll take this time to let you know about [color=be774b]Skilled Red Magician's[/color] effect. Should a [color=1fa291]Spell Card[/color] be activated, I place one Spell Counter on this [color=be774b]monster[/color]!"[/color] One of the many gems that had been adorned in the magician’s robe let off a strong red light.

[color=6ecff6]"Next, I activate my [color=1fa291]Swords of Revealing Light[/color], holding your attacks at bay for three turns and placing another Spell Counter on [color=be774b]Skilled Red Magician[/color]."[/color]


Three swords of pure light descended from the sky, blocking off the two duellists as another gem lit up on [color=be774b]Skilled Red Magician[/color].

[color=6ecff6]"Finally, I play my [color=1fa291]Allure of Darkness Spell Card[/color]. Banishing a Dark attribute Monster in my hand, I draw two new cards. So I Banish..."[/color] He turned his final card in his hand around, revealing his fiendish Monster.

[color=6ecff6]"My second [color=be774b]Archfiend General[/color]!"[/color]

As the card was removed from the game, the Archfiend enthusiast drew two more cards. And smiled as the gem atop [color=be774b]Skilled Red Magician’s[/color] staff glowed a bright red.

[color=6ecff6]"Now, as I'm sure you've noticed, I've played three [color=1fa291]Spells[/color] while [color=be774b]Skilled Red Magician[/color] was on the field, giving it a total of three Spell Counters. And now you'll see why that's a number to be feared. I activate [color=be774b]Skilled Red Magician's[/color] effect."[/color]

The magician morphed together in the form of red light, before it began reforming into a much more menacing shape.

[color=6ecff6]"By sending [color=be774b]Skilled Red Magician[/color] with three Spell Counters to the grave, I can Special Summon one Archfiend monster from my deck, hand or Graveyard, so I call forth the first true Archfiend, a master of lightning and terror. Rise from the abyss, [color=cda062]Summoned Skull[/color]!"[/color]

As Taiyo sent the [color=be774b]monster[/color] from his field to the Graveyard, a [color=cda062]card[/color] was displaced from his deck, which he immediately placed face-up on the field. A white skeletal figure joined by fleshy areas formed from the red energy, small sparks of electricity coursing around its body as a infernal croaking followed the lightning lord's summoning.

[color=6ecff6]"To end my turn, I'll place one card face down."[/color] Sliding into his [color=1fa291]Spell[/color] and [color=ac5a89]Trap[/color] Zone was a single card, leaving one remaining in his hand. [color=6ecff6]"Your move."[/color]
