I've been reading old posts to complete Toun's wiki article and I've noticed something that might add to this discussion on analysing posts for feedback. My writing twelve months ago [s]was god-awful[/s] had a few extra flaws than it does today. Now, I have ups and downs with how I write, but the endless march forward might make it useful to look at more recent posts. This is probably the case for the rest of us. Otherwise, wow, I've still got plot points in my pocket from a year ago that I haven't carried through yet :P. And the ones I've let go, hoo boy. Once upon a time, I had the idea of sending an automaton army to join the battle of Angelblood Ridge to win against chaos and then turn against the Valley of Peace. Mmmmmhmmmm, that would have brought that collab about five months longer to complete.
