Kijani (who I played in the first) has aged, and everything that happened to her in the previous RP has stuck. 

Devika was the other person I played. She was in her early 20's, and she's technically graduated in-story (since I didn't feel like bringing her back). But I can bring her back as a teaching assistant on the side, or if we need an NPC from time to time.
