Th' only queen any o' us vanguards will bow a knee t'."

Rylan Kane, also most known as, Cap'n Hook, is one hell of a soldier. Cap'n has risen to the title of First Combatant through his stubborn will to be unstoppable. Accordingly, he has also been described both as an unscrupulous hero and a violent savage. Cap'n has a gray sense of morality, strongly expressing the principle of ends justifying the means. Unlike like Theo, Cap'n sees no difference between justice and revenge. Though he is also never affiliated with the justice system in Churchill since he not a sentinel, but a blood-thirsty combatant. Fire-fights far from the colony is often where he found hooked through the eye-socket of an Outsider. Though, even as Cap'n does return back home with his men he strictly dwells deep in the underground vanguard territory. Gore is a normality to him, he has become desensitized to not only death, but also to torture. The scarring image of his two twin sons eighteen and ambitious to fulfill their father's wishes, impaled vertically by Outsiders and displayed at the entrance of their settlement. As a father Cap'n wanted nothing more than to find Jaxon and Zain, but he was not expecting anything like being piked right through the parietal bone. Now, Cap'n is overcritical there is no room for mistakes, no way he allow another man to be captured like his sons. Suicide is his last resort to avoid captivity at all cost besides retreat. Cap'n has always been a pirate before the hook and eye-patch delivered through too many close calls. Before his arrival to Churchill, Cap'n was a space pirate. For one good year, the pirate gang known as the Stray Dogs, raided ships ranging from space cruisers to Collective cargo carriers. Of course his glory days came to an end, and if he had been any more wanted of a man, Cap'n would likely be in line-up for the firing squad. Currently, Cap'n is skeptical of not the alliance, but of the marriage. Theo worked under his command before becoming Spartan, and Cap'n is well aware of the optimist Theo can be and of Theo's goal to one day be a father. Though that is all well and fine until noticing how completely different the Lady Isabel is to the barbaric Theo. Cap'n believes that the only possible way Theo could ever make his marriage to her not a political affair, is if she loved him truly, and the only way he could do that is changing himself completely. Cap'n cannot bear to watch the man's mind be warped by his own insecurities and submission, because though Theo is a victorious military leader, the man is flawed because he takes politics to heart, it is personal to him. For that reason, advocates Cass as queen of the vanguards. Because with Theo's passion and military experience, and Cassie's reason and intuition. The vanguards will be an unstoppable faction that just may wipe out the Outsiders themselves.

Everett T. And isn't that absolutely accurate? Don't believe so? Just look around, my dear."

Everett will truly admit this, "I didn't commit any crimes. I wanted this life." But the man is guilty of this: wishing for the things he doesn't have, and wanting that which he can't, hence the four ex-wives, half of those marriages failed due to Everett's own affairs. Usually, boredom is the first hint that there is indeed a lack of growth present, thus his trait of non-commitment begins to take form again. However, without the divorces perhaps he would have no reason to give a glance at this New Earth project. Though he did, even with his degree in architectural engineering, Everett definitely could have continued on with his successful life. But he grew tired of his boring life, and instead turned his eyes onto new assignment, engineering for a penal colony. It paid extremely well to just live, instruct, and design there for a year, but after just six months, he never wished to go back to Collective space. He has accomplished so much for Churchill, designing many of its buildings and powering the colony with a clean store of energy through the windmills. Because of his achievements, Everett became Victorian and never wanted to leave. Though, he never did it for the power. He stayed because of the people, criminals and especially lunatics have always fascinated him. He absolutely has faith in the saying, "Madness and genius are two sides of the same coin." Returning to his old life in Collective space would have just meant more divorces and less progress. Ultimately, progress is everything to Everett Terrance Netherwood. It is the reason why he let Carmen win. Yes, he lost on purpose. Everett has even told her, but Carmen has only seen as a joke, which Everett will leave her believing so. It is better for her that way, since that means that she keeps her pride, which can be much needed for a brave young leader. Besides, Everett has taken such an interest in Carmen. So much about her intrigues dear Everett, especially the crime that got her to Churchill-- aggravated arson and forty-eight charges of murder, all because of one man did what Everett often finds himself committing, infidelity. Some people will go to hell and back for love, and others will simply raise hell for vengeance. Another factor about Carmen that has caught Everett's attention is this side business of information brokering. It has accumulated quite the pool of wealth for the faction. More resources equals more progress. And because of his strong support in information brokering, Carmen has given Everett second-in-command of the Karma Rogues. In fact, Everett was the one who helped Carmen kick the business off the ground when he was Victorian. Carmen will admit, that Everett has always been the closest person to her in Churchill. One of the best sharpshooters to every join the colony, Dodge had at one time cared for his mother and sisters by hunting local Fauna. However the man whose land he hunted on found out and began to track him, along with his ranch hands. In the deed of night Dodge found himself under attack by five men who aimed to kill him, they had started firing at him as the started to cross an open field figuring he would run. He didn't. Dodge instead turned with nothing more than bolt action rifle he dropped two men before they made into the tree line. Sprinting further back they scream they would kill him and his family, so he froze and turned back climbing upon rock he could see them moving among the trees, only moonlight to guide his eyes. Three bullets later they all lay dead, Dodge turned himself in to spare his family who had in secret taken money, guns, and ammo from the men. They would live well for a few years at least as Dodge was shipped off Churchill. Upon arriving two years ago, Dodge found himself under the wing of a drunken, depraved, lucky, and intelligent Reno Wylde the lone Sheriff had few deputies who had not already died or quit. Many find it hard to work with man who seems to always being doing something else other than his job. However Dodge understood him, he was a man who came from a world far too different. He had been alone so long he could hardly understand how to interact with people outside of his law man persona. Tombstone and Dodge rarely talk much yet they don't need to trading glances or simple gestures they communicate more than most say in entire sentences. Dodge is the only man in Churchill who can read Reno like a book, they are more akin to brothers than just co-workers. Dodge and Reno together built the Sentinel's from the ground up, each deputy trained by them, all of them become family. Sentinel's while part of the Vanguard are each chosen for their loyalty and moral compass to upholding peace. Dodge see's them as the most objective people in the city, believing they are part of the Vanguard but not of it. No matter what the Sentinel's will follow the law over the people, the faction leader's, or the Overseer's they stand for justice and peace alone. She cared not for the item, only the thrill of removing the item from her marks this love of theft over the years grew. As she grew older she apprenticed under other learning Judo and Kendo from a young age, she became a skilled fighter and expert at turning her opponents weight and size against them. Her mother proud of her daughter's progress also let the girl practice horse back riding in her free time along the estate. She became a cat burglar putting her flexibility, speed, and grace to the test stealing items from other rich targets. She used her wealthy family to scan the the mansions, museums, and other such places to steal targets. However as time went on, her mother became suspicious. Her mother suspecting her daughter the thief contacted the police after she slipped out one night. Waiting with them by the exhibit she had been about to rob, Calico screamed in her killed her mother. Arriving in Churchill broken and alone, she found herself stealing from other for extra food and water. Yet one day she spotted a man carrying a bottle vodka, good stuff... She had to have it, slipping past the poker table she stole it from his coat yet before she could reach the door the click of a hammer. Reno hadn't even looked up from his card yet the pistol was trained on her back, she saw the star on his chest and gulped, prepared to run if had too. Reno got up slowly, walking her down to the cells... Their they had a long talk, Reno questioned her on everything for hours before he decided to take her in. While many others thought it wrong to have a thief representing the law, Calico tries to live up every day to the man who gave her a new purpose. For years she ran the local mob, often having her opponent's imprisoned and killed behind the veil of accidents and incidents. As time went on in became clear she could not be brought down through her times to crime. Thus a special unit was formed, these police alone captured her ledgers and managed to prove tax evasion on a massive level. Thus before she could truly build her criminal empire she found herself being locked up and alone with many who she had wronged here on Churchill. For awhile Reno kept her in a cell for her safety, making sure no one in town could attack the former criminal mastermind. Yet as smuggler's got smarter and faction tensions rose, Reno turned to the woman agreeing to make her a deputy in exchange for her knowledge being put to use fighting the other factions.

Madame Saint-Claire rarely makes time for petty endeavors. In fact, she rarely has much time with which she can make anything at all, having always some sort of appointment or function which she must attend, as she is, as anyone who knows her could tell you, a very busy woman. Though she rarely squanders outside of her typical schedule, she will find the time to meet with her closest allies and companions, especially if they are in definite need of counsel. Araminta Saint-Claire wasn't always caught up in such pompous affairs, however. Though few truly know it, she was once a lowly accessory to a member of the Collective, acting as a public affairs worker, shortly after the Collective went political. Her job was simple, and perhaps due to her own aspirations, the simplicity drew out the worst - or, arguably, the best in her. Three months after the murder of three of her superiors and the attempted assassination of the Collective member, Araminta Saint-Claire was found guilty and sent to Churchill, entirely excommunicating her from the life she had built before. However, it came as no surprise to her that she was able to quickly maneuver her way through the ranks of Churchill's Muse faction, finding her seat as Grand Clothier in only a year's time. Though her skills in tailoring her a marvel to behold, what perhaps solidified her position was her cunning coercion and wit, as well as a few rather unsavory operations on the side. But, as anyone in the Muses will tell you, those operations are just rumors, and nothing but rumors.
