The sound of her movements was more like a shuffle than footsteps. She sighed with relief, laying her head within the makeshift bosom of her arms. a slight clacking sound could be heard from the corner of her glasses contacting the table. She dumped her bag on the hook attached to her desk and lazily looked around, yawning at the realisation she was one of the early arrivers. She considered joining the conversation, her gaze wandering to the wall next to her. She grinned, rubbing her thumb on it, revealing the badly covered up scribblings from a previous class. She bunched her cheek atop a fist, learning about the drama and classes that came before, giggling a little at some of the nicknames she made out between crude drawings of people's nether regions. He almost fell back into the seat, rocking it back slightly, pressing the heel of his right foot on the edge and beginning to re-tie his shoelace. His eyes scanned the classroom finding only a few others so far. Deciding it harmless to eavesdrop on the conversation next to him, he focused his attention on new people entering the room. He smiled a little seeing familiar faces. Taylor, a childhood friend as they both moved to Japan from Great Britain as toddlers, and recognising Connor from the same entrance exam area he was at. He thought for a moment, not remembering how well he did. A small imaginary figure of himself shrugged in his mind, dismissing its importance as his eyes shifted between the conversation he listened into nearby and the doorway.
