Iwaku has been the largest and most dynamic of the “circle of play-by-post sites”, though it has a much different community and different administrative beliefs. Problem is, their administration is large and is more active with the site at large thus people automatically resonate to it being a better site when in reality it is just a different one. RPN and RPA don’t get mentioned often in the conversation of sites because they aren’t as accessible or appealing. RPA’s site layout is over ten years old; harkening back to the days of proboards and ezboards. RPN has nice aesthetics, but also describes itself as a “family friendly” site. So it comes to no surprise why people gravitate towards either Iwaku (who sorts by genre) or RPG (who sorts by ability).
