Unlike his sister, Alex is quite the people person. He is used to being around people because of his childhood, but what he truly enjoys is listening to their stories. He's a fairly laid back guy, which means he gets along with most people. He can be both a chatter box and a listener, adapting to whatever makes his conversation partner most comfortable. He's a very emotionally centered guy and isn't afraid to show it unlike most males. He'll cry at sad movies, and get scared of large reptiles it doesn't matter what others think. Being an emotional guy, music helps him release all of it in a way that can please others as well. He started playing the guitar for his sister, but it soon developed into something he enjoyed as well. Despite being a musician, Alex is a stranger to love. He's gone on dates, but has never really loved any other female other than his sister. In fact, many times it's his sister who scares away the girls he doesn't want to date anymore. And if she can do that, it's a done deal that he doesn't want to be in a relationship with that person. Abby is his best friend and sister, and if someone has an issue with her, he's not afraid to lash back. However, Alex's version of getting back at someone is never physical, it's always with passive agressive statements. He's much more a man of words than actions unlike his sister.

Alexander Clarke was born 17 minutes before his twin sister Abigail, which technically makes him the oldest sibling. A point which Alex likes to make whenever the two get into arguments. The two were born to a well known politican couple. Because of this, the twins were always moving around the country. This caused quite a bit of trouble for them. For one, their education came from a tutor which meant that their parents knew every grade they got. The twins also never had the opportunity to make friends with other children their age. All the other children of politicians never seemed to be on the same page as them. This caused the bond between siblings to grow very strong. The two have been through thick and thin together.
The Clarke twins grew up in a very professional setting. They had to be the prize children for their parent's political campaign. It was always about being perfect in every sense. However, the twins somehow developed their own personality, which was beginning to cause trouble for their parents. So, as soon as they were able, their parents shipped the two off to Shine City Academy in hopes that they would get their troublemaking out of their system and learn the importance of their position. This did not go to plan, as Alex began to learn of all the freedoms he had as a normal college student. He started off a bit rocky, but as time went on he began to learn all the ins and outs of normal social interactions as he had for political interactions. He loved genuinely getting to know people instead of the false faces that people put on at the political parties. Hearing about other's lives and perspectives intrigued him. 
Then of course, Abby found out about their parent's secret. They were keeping a large chunk of money donated to them for a fundraiser. At first Alex was super hesitant about releasing this info to the public, there were so many things that could go wrong. However, eventually he realized that the only reasons to keep it secret were selfish, so he let Abby do it. The backlash was just as bad as he had feared, their parents completely disowned the twins and no longer receive any financial support from them. This meant that the two had to get jobs and live together to pay for college. Now, Alex just keeps living day by day, unsure of what he wants to do in the future.
