Aurana's smile grew. She nodded enthusiastically. "Yeah! That sounds good. I'll be able to get to know you two in the meantime!" She took another breath and suddenly looked less sure. "Just one thing..." She raised a finger. "I can't swim."

Rhazii's brow went up. He looked at Julan and back to Aurana. "Really? You don't know how to swim?"

"I've never gone swimming." Aurana shook her head and clasped her hands tightly. "Mother and father never let me."

Rhazii was speechless. He slowly rotated his eyes to Julan, his front teeth just visible between his wordless lips. "Let's start walking to the canal. Maybe we'll work it out when we get there."
