James Varrock
Level: 3 Day/Time: Day One-Day Two Location: Erion-Abandoned Castle to Platform City-Tetris Castle Garden Interacting: Knuckles[@Nerevarine] Mention: Luigi[@Bright_Ops], Shadow Knight Oswald[@Holy Soldier], Slayer[@Lugubrious], Gwendolyn[@Holy Soldier],General Brigan[@Holy Soldier], Samus Aran[@Lmpkio], Fox McCloud[@Etherean Fire], Odin[@Holy Soldier], Naija[@DracoLunaris], Quina Quen[@Hylozoist] James and Charger had agreed, surprisingly, that adding any additional firepower to what was already being flung at the downed Demon Lord was a moot point and simply kept watch from their piece of cover, ignoring the fleeing Brigan for the coward that he was. "For the big bad guy of this world, Odin was a surprisingly disappointing victory. Of course, all the heroes here likely have a hand in making him seem like such a push over." James snorts, reloading the Imago Loop and starting to stand as the oily corruption flowed out of Odin, taking a cautious aim at it. "I won't complain, a straight forward fight with a big boss is a nice change of pace from the shielding and barriers of Crota and Aksis. That said-" Before the Guardian can finish his sentence, the corruption took form as a worm and he jumped slightly in surprise, firing a couple of wide shots at it to try and save Luigi. The effort proved pointless, however, as Gwendolyn delivered a powerful technique with the aid of her spear. Whistling at the sight of it, James set to making sure everyone was OK after. "If I didn't know any better, I'd say we just witnessed a new technique to wield the Light that was hidden from everyone." Charger materialized and began scanning the area around where the corruption worm had been. "It's something to consider for the future, perhaps speak with Ikora and Zavala about it when we can return to the Tower." Grunting, James finished his rounds and then followed the others back to their ride home, offering Gwendolyn and Oswald a nod of sympathy in passing. Truth be told, true death was a foreign concept to the Guardian, as such a thing was rare for the Wielders of the Traveler's Light.

At Mario's Funeral
James stood in the back of the procession, away from Guile and his similarly dressed companion, in his more ornate Cloak of the Sixth Reign for the occasion, though he kept his normal appearance for the rest. He hadn't known Mario at all, and he still really had no idea who any of the heroes assembled there to honor him were, but he felt he should be there all the same, especially since he hadn't been able to get the local bar's location out of anyone yet. As he stood, he felt a familiar hand rest on his shoulder, the firm, yet soft grip of a female Titan getting his attention. "Alice. Zavala not think I could handle this alone?" The womanly chuckle as the violet haired Titan known as The Stalwart stepped up next to her Fireteam mate, her electric blue eyes glowing with hidden power. "Far from the case. He simply thought you'd appreciate the help from someone you know." Nodding, James stepped away from the funeral just as Princess Peach left, leading Alice out of the gardens. "Can't say the old blowhard is wrong. Apparently a lot of the people we're going to be working with are supposed to be legendary heroes or something. So far? Don't recognize one of 'em from what we've recovered of both Golden Age and pre-Golden Age records. Ikora send you with any new information on them?" Alice shook her head as James lowered his hood and his helmet vanished, his air hanging around his head once more. "No, but when Iron catches up to me, he may have something." Nodding, the Guardian lead the way to a table with some food a little ways away from the main body of the funeral and went to reply when a red furred creature caught his eye as it took a place amongst those at the Funeral. Frowning, James leaves his friend to get some food and approaches the strange creature, Charger appearing as he sensed the potential disaster about to happen. And, in classic Hunter fashion, James cut to the point. "'Scuse me pal. Not to sound like I'm trying to insult you, but what in the name of the Traveler are you?"
