He can comfortably work with almost any wrestler, and is a ‘ring general,’ that is to say he typically takes control in the ring and calls spots and moves. Backstage, he will build the match from the ground up with his opponent, often times without the help of a road agent; he’s trusted by Roderick to put on the proper match. For the past five years, he’s consistently squeezed a 4-star match out of even the lesser skilled opponents he wrestles, and when he truly has chemistry with someone, the match will easily be 4.75 or 5 stars. He has a ring psychology like none other. Drayden builds his story on the mic with his opponent, then tells it in the ring. He has big moves that he uses commonly, but for the most part works around what his opponent is capable of. Very big, protected move.) |Theme | » Derp |Gimmick | » Drayden is himself turned up to 11, simply. Funny when the time is right, serious when the time isn’t, and passionate about this business. He not only has been the pinnacle of this business for nearly 8 years, he knows it, and he tells his opponents that: they need to respect him, because he is the man they wish they could be. To have a match with Drayden is a possibility to build yourself up, to beat him is a way to let people know that you could potentially be the next big thing. |Face or Heel | » Face to nearly everyone, some people are sick of him and boo his ass, but he loves it. Often times during his matches, there are chants of ‘Fuck ‘em up, Drayden, fuck ‘em up.’ |Backstage Rep | » Generally well received backstage, the only people who seriously don’t like him are those who are jealous of his position as Roddy’s golden boy. He’s open to suggestions from the other wrestlers on what he can do to improve, and is happy to guide those who have potential but are green to greater heights. Very much a locker room leader, whenever he has a match with someone he sees a future in, he’ll do his best to make them look like a million fucking bucks, regardless of who wins or loses, and he usually does a good job of that. As an excellent promo, Drayden is good at building his opponents up too, and has had legendary verbal throwdowns with people who are as good as he is on the mic. Natural charisma and a general air of ‘good guy’ has led most people backstage to have a good opinion of him. Roddy knows he captured lightning in a bottle with Drayden, as the man is happy to do charity work, and up until just the last few years, was on the road 300 days a year putting on show after show — he has recently stopped showing up for shows that aren’t broadcasted on television. When he leaves for real, they’re screwed. AWE’s franchise player since 2006. |Other | » I think Halo is a pretty cool guy.
