I feel like people arguing for communism are purposefully doing it to be controversial...(*Note: Generalization doesn't imply YOU (random reader) is doing so.) Ignoring how awful communism is and every time it's practiced it fails and leads to mass murder.

Because when people like this try to debate it...and the question is "Does a women have a right to say no to a man asking for sex and can a man stop another man from eating your arm." And you reply with "I believe in Majority Rule." I DO NOT want to follow your belief system.

Communism has been attempted quite a few times in history, but quickly results in a Totalitarian system. Why? If you have no ownership, you have no responsibility, or more accurately, you have no incentive to be responsible. If you can get 3 squares a day, some beer on the weekend whether sitting on your butt or working an 8 hour day, you will soon be checking out of work at noon. It's called human nature and commonsense. Why the hell would you spend 8 hours a day on the assembly line, when your co-worker farts-off for a few days with no ramifications. 

     Under true communism, food and industrial production would collapse in months. Only with government planning and threats could the food supply flow and industrial production continue. Instead of the invisible hand of the market creating the supply of goods, you need the hand of government.  Why can't people understand that?

As soon as he said "other people's land" I knew the argument was lost. You're against private property ownership but it's still "other people's land."  He asserted his BELIEF regarding property but had no reasoning behind that belief and if all you do is redefine things as moral or immoral to suit yourself, don't be surprised if people don't take you seriously.

My liberal/left side questions, since socialism and communism are different but both lead to the wealth redistribution that they both clearly want. Why would one prefer communism OVER socialism?
