And about Taylor, he indentifies as a man and he is (assuming he is) transitioning into a biological male. So he's definately a man as much as the other guys, at least as far as Malena's concerned. Identifying as one would be enough for her to see and treat Taylor as a man. 
Romantically she would be hesitant, because she hasn't been in a relationship with someone like Taylor, or really anyone for that matter lol, but she's not against it Her ability just made it kind of impossible.
