Rockin trotted through the trees, his magic ready to spread his wings the first time something shot out to attack him. He'd heard bad things about the forest but figured it would take less time going through it to get to the castle than to go around it. He'd heard it was an unnatural place where everything went on without pony aid. "I don't know what they're talking about," he said to himself. "The forest back home takes care of itself and nopony there gets all afraid of it, just the family that lives there." Shaking his head, he kept his eyes on watch, not knowing what creatures could be nearby, ready to strike at the lone stallion. It wasn't too long after that he heard voices. He tilted his head as he listened. Those were definitely pony voices. As he began following the voices, his metal wings clattered along his back and the strings on his guitar vibrated softly, creating an ominous note. It got to a point where he heard the voices on the other side of a thick bush, one he couldn't easily walk through. He didn't think to call out to the group and give them a warning. He spread his metal wings, wincing at the creaking, and leaped the bush, easily clearing it with a flap of his metal wings. He landed with a drop, folding his wings before standing straight. "'Ello." he smiled, his oriental accent differing from the ponies in front of him. "Is there a town nearby?"
