Ntaj listened to Alison speak ill of her uncle, already planning how he could take over this kingdom. Her uncle sounded like a tyrant, but the current king was ill and it seemed that Alison was his only child. Indeed, once her father falls it'll only be natural for her uncle to rule in his place. And it looks like the power has already gotten to his head, despite the lack of a formal crowning. Removing those who supported the old office isn't an unusual thing in Ntaj's mind, but he wondered just how deep the claws of Alison's uncle dug if he could afford to purge the inner court of the king's old supporters and retainers. It was one thing to be able to bribe and trick others into servitude, but loyalty was more valuable than gold. It wasn't long before the man himself arrived and quickly ignored Ntaj to yell at Alison. When the wicked uncle stepped forward, Ntaj acted. "Surely you would not deprive a guest of his company?" Ntaj stood between Alison and the man yelling at her, presumably this uncle she was talking about. He was a right piece of work, that was for certain. But characters like him was a dime a dozen back at Keratia. A lot of power hunger men with views that ensured they stayed in power. But that's why they were killed, and why the Yaj family ruled an empire. "I apologize if I seem to be speaking out of turn, your majesty. But surely it's only proper procedure for royalty to meet." Removing his helmet, Ntaj revealed his face, and more importantly his piercing red eyes, like freshly spilled blood. And if this man knew anything about the Keratia royal family, he'd know that only they would have these red eyes. "And I would very much like to keep her within my sight, so that I may speak with her. Is that going to be a problem?"
