Cal offered Julian a grin, pouring him a mug and handing it to him. Cal knew very well that he was the baby of the group. At nineteen he was the youngest member of the Coalition. He'd grown up a lot though, since joining the team, and he attributed much of that to the mentoring he received from Nathaniel, Julian and the other more experienced members. For this reason, he'd always had a good deal of respect for Julian. Cal was on the verge of asking if Julian knew anything about Nathan's press conference when his phone buzzed with an alert. He pulled the device out of his pocket and looked through the briefing as quickly as possible. He looked up at Julian and handed him the phone to look over, allowing him to get the information before taking his phone back. "Look's like coffee will have to wait." Cal said, setting down his mug and jogging over to call the elevator. The metal doors slid open, inviting him in and he entered without hesitation, then waited for Julian before pushing the button to bring them down to the armory. Serving as the bottom floor of the Watchtower, the armory acted as both a room for the Coalition members to suit up in, as well as a briefing room. In the center of the room there was a large wooden table, with seats for each member of the team. The center of the table had a small device, a holoscreen, that normally displayed the details of whatever mission the team was going on, if they had time for a formal briefing. The walls were bare of any decoration, and for good reason. As soon as Cal stepped out of the elevator he slammed a button on the wall and the panels retracted, revealing the costumes of each member of the team and their varying equipment. Cal quickly took his suit down and changed into it, turning around to face Julian as he fitted his mask to his face. "Race you there?" Cal asked, smirking before darting to the elevator and hitting the button for the garage. Seeing as how Julian could fly at incredibly high rates of speed, Cal wasn't exactly worried about him being late to the party. Cal on the other hand, didn't have many abilities that could get him very far very fast, so he was forced to rely on his trusty bike at times like this. Stepping into the garage, Cal ran over to his bike, a matte black motor cycle. He got on and slipped his helmet over his head before opening the garage door and speeding out onto the street, heading straight for the airport. As he felt the wind whip around him, he couldn't help but grin. The Coalition was back at it, and they were going to prove to the people of Detroit that they could protect them, despite their recent failure. Needless to say, Cal was exhilarated.
