Mikayla almost chuckled when Alice asked if she listened to screamo. [color=orchid]"Do I look like the type to listen to incoherent screaming or 'rocking out' in general?"[/color] she asked while suppressing an amused smile. While there was that one saying about judging a book by its cover, there are some safe assumptions one could make. 

Not knowing what to say next to her partner, she shifted awkwardly on her bed. She was unused to having to make small talk without any malicious intents. So instead, she pulled out her phone and began to look at the new Fall line from Ella McCarty to hide the fact that she was feeling awkward. 

[color=orchid]"Oh my gosh! Isn't this so cute, Alice?"[/color] she squealed after a minute of scrolling and forgetting everything that wasn't shopping. She turned her phone around so her roommate could look at the light blue denim dress that somehow costed 1000G. Usually she would only have her maids to show these clothes to while she online shopped at home and while they were nice enough to humor the rich girl, they were understandably not very 'into it'. So Mikayla wouldn't mind having someone receptive to fashion around even though she wasn't looking for something as concrete as friendship.
