Natus had heard faint noises coming from behind, however he had yet hear a signal or sounds of battle, so he decided to keep with his forward scouting. Whenever he observed Leblanc head back towards the group, he sighed. To keep moving forward alone would be dangerous, not due to any enemy other than forces of nature. This weather could prove much more lethal then common grunts. He moved back towards the group, but he did not engage unlike his blood-thirsty companion. Instead, he watched both the front to make sure that no enemy would surprise the group from the direction he was scouting, and the rear in order to provide aid if necessary. In addition, he tried to aware of every direction, as it seemed the group was surprised by a group of possible enemies from the side. It was harder to concentrate on having full awareness of his surrounding in the storm, and it natural blocked some of his perception, but it was possible that there was more enemies yet seen.
