Inside the dress, she stores her weapons, the "Desert Vultures". Though she would never take off her clothes to show anyone, she has a large scar across her abdomen, which requires occasional maintenance. Name: Michiina Subagaki Age: 19 Gender: Female Race: Human Personality: Michiina is a shy girl, wary of others due to the nature of her birthplace. Despite this, she's prideful and stubborn, convinced she can take on the world if it were necessary--which it turned out to be. Due to her years in combat, she's grown accustomed to death. She still finds it hard to kill humans, but she's had to on several occasions. When faced with grim situations, a powerful self-defense mechanism overtakes her. Plot Summary of Original content: Action, Steampunk, Demons, Supernatural Princess of the Wastes How is life when your world is a wasteland full of demons and other large, predatorial monsters? Simply put; Hell. At least, that's how Michiina sees the world she lives in. Every day, humans live on-guard against demons, but to no avail, the demons keep finding ways to get past the humans' defenses. Fed up with the status quo, Michiina becomes a hunter. Demon hunter who make their living by fighting, contracting- and killing demons. When the world is at war, everyone fights. Will the 13-year old Michiina and the other hunters survive against the countless demons? Or will the demons slowly, but surely wipe out humanity? Princess of the Wastes: Pride Arc Continuation of the Princess of the Wastes series. Michiina is now 19 years and a good portion of the world is now under the control of humans again. Just as Michiina would expel a group of demons from their territory, a new force arose, darker and far more powerful than anything humanity has ever seen. Michiina barely escapes with her life and in the following years of war, the territory humanity had reclaimed was lost to them once more. At the moment humanity surrendered, the prideful Michiina refused to back down. Now she fights all alone against the demons, but how much can one person do? Backstory: Michiina was born in the wastes. Her parents were twitchy, frightened people, fleeing with her the moment even a hint of danger arose. Michiina started rebelling against her parents from early age, much to their dismay. Eventually, the settlement they lived in was destroyed, but thanks to the hunters, most of the villagers managed to escape. Three years later, the same thing happened again, but several villagers, including Michiina's parents took up arms, for the lack of hunters. Michiina, meanwhile, was brought along with a woman from the original settlement, forced to wath their new settlement burn down as they drove away from the demons. It was when she finally turned 13 that she took up arms, having reached the "proper" age to become a hunter. The following year was spent constantly training to become stronger, and at the end of the year, her mettle would be tested. As was frighteningly common in these lands, the settlement she lived in was once more attacked, this time, with the hunters and trainees on the frontline. It was a close victory, with too many casualties to call for a celebration, but it was a battle won, which meant the settlement was safe for a while longer. With this vicory and newfound confidence, the different settlements started to properly interact once more, causing the general wellbeing of people to increase significantly. The next year was constant war, but humanity managed to reclaim more and more territory. Logically, demons weren't just sitting on their behinds either. One night, a demon infiltrated a small pub, disguised as a human. They started chatting away with the unfortunate Michiina. The instant she lowered her guard, the demon struck, leaving a deep cut across her abdomen. While Michiina laid on the floor, bleeding to what she was certain would be her death, the demon rampaged across the rest of the pub, killing a good number of customers before being killed. It was a close call, but Michiina received medical attention just in time, surviving the attempted assassination, but not without permanent injury. The war raged on, but the demons steadily reclaimed more ground. It was during Michiina's 17th year that a new threat arose. A black behemoth of a creature, far stonger and more evil than any single demon anyone had encountered before. With the demons thriving and now united under a new overlord, humanity was driven back into a corner, even further back than before. Just before Michiina would turn 19, her injury had mostly healed, and she was determined to join the frontlines once more. Before she had the chance to, however, humanity surrendered, becoming no more than cattle to their new, demonic masters. Miichina ran and started living on her own, surviving by scavenging the area around her and by killing any demon she'd encounter. Seven months passed after humanity's surrender, Michiina had survived so far, but humanity was slowly drained of any hope they might have had to retaliate. Then, an odd figure appeared and nothing would be the same... Weapons, Powers & Abilities: "Desert Vultures" The "Desert Vultures" are a parody on the desert eagles, which almost every new gun noob thinks are awesome. Why run around with dual pistols when you're strong enough to catch the recoil from dual shotguns? With exactly that thought, Michiina settled on these weapons. They've carried her through a lot of rough situations and have been the end of a good few demons. As one might expect from anime weaponry, these guns pack a mean punch and are even capable of firing charged shots. Charge Shot The Desert Vultures' charged shots have not only increased power, but are effectively end-of-the-barrel explosions. While the explosion doesn't reach far bayond the end of the barrel, the bullets fired with the charge shot have improved reach and spread. Supercharge The ability to fill something with energy. Usually this energy simply turns into heat, but when applied to an autonomous being it enhances their physical capability. Overusage will cause overheating in the targeted object and potentially structural damage. The target does not have to be touched, but it needs to be relatively close to be affected by Supercharge. Quickdraw Drawing your weapon at crazy speed, lots of training, muscle memory and great hand-eye coordination achieve the same effect.
