[@Tominas][@Overlord Thraka][@Letter Bee] Just as Clarimonde thought herself doomed to slavery, she was able to play witness to the man that would have been her doom fall with a bolt to the throat mid sentence. It wasn't something she hadn't seen before, however the fact that someone could die so quickly the smile didn't even leave their face until they hit the floor tended to spook people. The nature of the nobles was made quite apparent when the killing caused most to flee outside of those that either had a vested interest, were armed, or otherwise used to such acts similar to herself. A woman in the front row with a wasp mask was one such person where all three counts could be applied as she remained with a leg over her knee and hands clasped together over the knee on top of that particular pile, staring transfixedly at her even as most of those around her simply fled the auction. Those that remained were able to be identified as operatives for the radical anti-slave resistance, or others in those similar masks. Just as the men and women that were to free her began approaching the stage she was awashed with blood as a man in a wasp mask reached through the furthest one's chest and ripped out their spine in one of the most gruesome and intimidating methods of decapitation available. Another two men in wasp masks descended from hiding spots and began to massacre the resistance forces present in the plaza like cattle to the slaughter in equally gruesome fashions, quite literally ripping them limb from limb with their bare hands. During this tumult the woman in the wasp mask simply calmly stood and walked up to the stage, standing directly in front of her. She was dressed simply in a tunic with embroidered gambeson and plate curiass over her chest with coat-like portions extending over her tighs, Her belt holding various pouches with an estoc in a sheath and a buckler on her hip while her leggings were similarly black, yellow, and embroidered. "Young lady, you are quite skilled. I can free you, however it would only be to put you into a different type of servitude much akin to that of which the nobles you are so familiar with were bound by. You shall be compensated for your services, though I do warn you, if you fail you might wish you'd joined those my associates are punishing." The woman in the wasp mask states with a sharp yet serene tone, as though oblivious to her surroundings outside of that which she wished to acknowledge. ~~~ Mergoux found her bolt flying true and striking that oh so plump auctioneer in the throat. He hadn't needed to die, and if she hadn't been such an endoctrinated zealot she'd have probably found that he'd had a family, vices, and failures much like any other human. She'd likely caused the eventual slavery of his wife, children, and elder parents that would have been relying on him to support them financially in their old age. That was the nature of the world she was so blind to. However phillisophical ponderings aside she shortly after seeming to free the slaves gets to watch as her comrades are brutally massacered, her crossbow crushed under the boot of a man in black and yellow half plate that had been silently standing sentry next to her while she had been unawares. "You cannot escape your fate" He states flatly, simply offering her his hand as if to help her up as opposed to the imprisonment he'd entailed. The metal of her crossbow wrapped around his foot and the splinters around it simply served as a warning to what an effortless show of strength could have done to her skull if he'd wanted her dead.
