[i]Tough she hates the Tyrants for what they did to her family and the Daybreakers for failing to help her and her family, the closest desire to her heart is to simply explore the world, see all the wonders of the past Era and learn all what she can about the past world through whatever means possible, and hey, while she's at it, why not kill the Tyrants that would prevent her from achieving her goal.[/i]

[quote]For all her life, Maya has been led along by her family as scavangers, eeking out their life outside where the Tyrants roamed and though they returned to a underground city when the Scarlet Moon rose, the rest of the time, they roamed the desolate lands to try and find whatever technology from the Era of Indulgence and use it to their own benefit... most of the time by selling them to underground cities in exchange for large amounts of food and equipment that they might need to use.

She herself thought that this life was a hard one, but amazingly enough, she enjoyed it and hated being trapped within the underground cities during the Scarlet Moon, she wanted to be free and to explore the world and the wonders it might contain, even with the Tyrants out there and Fate would offer her the powers to do so... for a very heavy price.

On a day like any oher, Maya and her parents explored a large area that seemed to be something akin to large park within an even larger city and began exploring it and searching for whatever it might contain of the past era. However, as they explored, the buildings inside the park they forgot to check for one thing... the Scarlet Moon and the danger that entailed. Though no Tyrant seemed to show up at first,
as soon as they got into a clearing they were soon surrounded by several Tyrants who seemed to grin, knowing the fate that awaited her and her family.

Yet none of them attacked, they just surrounded her family and waited for the miasma that they emanated to do it's job and slowly kill them. And one by one, her parents, her siblings started to fall one by one even with their gas masks on. She too felt as if she was about to die any moment, but she did not want to die, she wanted to explore the world with her family and see the wonders of a past world.
 And tears started to flow as she realized that she would not be able to this, then her heart stopped beating... and started beating once again, and her tears froze on her face.

Ice and Snow formed at her beck and call and now from sad and terrified, she became enraged and used her new weapons to attack the Tyrants that had turned her family to ashes in the cold wind. However, after several dies of mindlessly trying to kill the Tyrants, her mind came back to her and realized that killing all the Tyrants would a fool's errand and ran to the nearest underground city to collect her thoughts and mourn her family.

Once enough time had passed, she had decided to herself that she would do what she had been doing until now, exploring the world and uncovering all of this world's mysteries, both past and present.[/quote]

This is it, though if it is at all possible, I would like to require aid with the appearance as I have been searching and so far I have been unable to find anything.
