Haley was sent to live with her father after the accident. His new wife Megan had the wonderful job of taking Haley  on the hour long trip to the hospital three times a week for physical therapy. Megan had worked hard for her position in her company and she was not happy about having to take time off three days a week for her stepdaughter's medical appointments. 

Haley had broken one of her hips in the accident and the therapy was difficult. That coupled with the fact that Haley didn't want to do it at all just made it more difficult for Megan.

After an hour ride with a sour and unhappy teenager Megan let Haley go up on her own. She decided to read a book in the car.

As soon as she got into the building one of the waiting physical therapists walked up behind her wheelchair and started pushing it. [color=39b54a]"So Haley are you working on the exercises like I said?"[/color] Haley had known it was him before he even said a word to her.

[color=ed145b]"Yeah but it hurts. Shouldn't I wait for it to heal more?"[/color] She asked hopefully.

[color=39b54a]"No ma'am, you need to do these to help it heal. Come on let's get to work."[/color] Haley sighed and got on with her therapy giving Jarod looks that would slay a dragon. 


After eight weeks of therapy it was dropped to once a week. Her entire summer had been ruined. The accident took the life she had known away. Now she had to start a new school.
