Savayna found herself waking up but it was not where she thought it would be. Last she remembered, she was on top of Shion and about to plunge her Trident inside that full chest of hers. Then...something happened. It was an explosion of sorts. It caused widespread damage and sent practically everyone flying. That’s where Savayna’s memory was a little fuzzy. As she looked around, she noticed wherever she was...it was not Archades. She was in some tundra that had rising mountains all covered in ice. Where she stood was on top of a frozen lake that was as clear as glass. Deep in its depths, she saw something swim. As she would look further, she saw it coming for the surface. As if trying to defend herself, Savayna backed away and placed her hands over her face Did she perhaps get blown so far that she was no longer in Archades? Judging by the area she was in, it definitely wasn’t Archades. When the thing she saw in the lake come up, it only took her a brief moment to realize who it was. “What the fuck Mateus!?” she cursed at him. As he hovered in front of her, he landed on the ice, taking the time to slowly lay down and look at her with an amused expression. “Hello to you too, Ice Queen.” “Where am I?” Savayna asked, ignoring his amused tone. “Most call this place the Ice Dimension. As for me? Well, I call it Home Sweet Home.” He snickered. He was the only one that did. “Wait you live here?” “Took you that long to figure it out, huh?” “You still didn’t answer my question,” Savayna persisted. She was not wanting to steer off-course. As he would sigh, he approached her, “don’t you know? Whenever a Chosen One is given an Esper’s Inner Seal, they are brought to their domain.” “What the hell are you even talking about?” “Let me put it in a way you can understand,” Mateus looked at Savayna and touched her head with a single hand, “your love for that Archadian Prince gave you something you have longed for: power. The pain he felt from nearly losing Lannit was felt within you, which fuelled your desire to prove your worth. The love you have for Belias’ Chosen One - and don’t be mistaken, Savayna. It is definitely love - I felt that too. Every possible emotion you were feeling during that last moment where you decided to concentrate everything within your soul to prove your resolve was the exact moment you unlocked my seal.” Mateus explained, “and to answer your next question, I did nothing but let you use my power whenever you needed it. Your resolve was what brought us together that only could be possible through shared consciousnesses.” This was the first time that MAteus was actually straight with her and it had her speechless. For the first time ever, Savayna had very little to say. What could she say? From whatever jealousy - or love, as Mateus put it - she felt, came this unintended resolve and proof of strength that she accomplished. Was that the point of it? Was her subconscious doing this so she would achieve a new feat of power? And what then? What has it gotten her? In the quest to become stronger, she probably ruined what she had with Grant, all because she still had those lingering feelings of love for her ex-husband. “So, that explosion...it was my - I mean our - doing?” Mateus paused for a moment. “Sadly, that was neither of us. It was--” "Savayna! Savayna heard a voice. It was Grant’s. He was calling out to her.. Savayna, can you hear me?!" As she heard his voice a second time, Savayna found herself disappearing from Mateus’ domain, her eyes closing. And as they would open again, she would start tos ee the form of Grant over her. His concerned face being the first thing she took notice to. She coughed and was aching all over. She tried to move but in doing so, she realized her entire body from head to toe was severely sore, not to mention that her left arm from the elbow down was broken. Her head was throbbing like a motherfucker, and to make matters worse, she looked around and saw the carnage. It was.. “Wait..” As she had turned her head, Savayna couldn’t believe her eyes. She saw someone just three paces away, buried in a pool of blood. Burnt marks all over his body. Bruises ranging from the lightest color imaginable to dark purple, and fresh cuts as deep as the arteries go. It only took her a moment to realize who exactly that it was her eyes had her viewing.. “Ja-akuna..” Out of pure desperation, Savayna sat up. Despite her obvious injuries and the fatigue she was experiencing(plus a throbbing headache), Savayna desperately crawled over to Jaakuna’s laid-out body, while screaming out his name, each one louder than the last. It continued until she got to his form. She put his head on her lap and stroked his hair. “Jaakuna! Jaakuna, open your eyes, it’s Savayna.” At this point, she was crying, trying to get him to open his eyes, “Jaakuna, please! Open your eyes. OPEN YOUR EYES!” She screamed, tears flowing from her face. But nothing happened. His body still motionless. It was still unmoving no matter how much she pleaded. And as she would look around, trying to find someone - anyone - that could help, she saw the others(as well as a couple of others). “Nadeline! Lorenzo! SOMEBODY! YOU HAVE TO SAVE HIM!” She pleaded, shouting out to anyone who would listen. “I-I-I can’t lose him - not again. Not like this.” She weeped, looking down at his face, stroking his hair and skin, burying her face into his motionless one, soaking it in her sorrow.
