Weakness: When exposed to freezing temperatures or below, Dark Matter will quickly start to solidify. When this happens, he loses the ability to manipulate his hands into weapons and becomes incredibly slow. If exposed for a long time, he will die.
Dark Matter is also weak to water. If made wet, the material of his skin becomes sludge-like and Dark Matter may fall apart if soaked. If this were to occur, he would be hard pressed to pull himself back together.
High pitched sounds render Dark Matter utterly useless, and in extreme pain.

Powers: Manipulation of the unique material that makes up his skin. (Note: This material is not actual dark matter, but was code named as such.) As well as enhanced strength and speed (Only to peak human standards, however.) The material that makes up Dark Matter’s skin is nearly impervious to kinetic and explosive attacks. It also begins to regenerate when not under stress or being manipulated for a full minute.

Personality: Dark Matter’s personality can be explained rather easily. He’s an angry, vengeful individual whose whole purpose in existing was to kill and destroy. Dark Matter despises almost everyone for no reason other than that they are better off than he. The few people he only mildly hates are the ones who had it just as bad, or even worse. But Dark Matter does not like anyone. He is incapable of love, happiness, or mercy. Those feelings were forced out of him by his creators. 

History: Once upon a time, Dark Matter had been just a normal, average person. His life wasn’t fantastic, but it was better than most. Then he discovered that he wasn’t such a normal person. He had been out in the woods late at night when he stumbled upon a meteorite that had landed and created a massive crater. When he touched the crater, his was covered in a strange red liquid that moved as if it was living. It covered his body completely, and Dark Matter quickly realized what he could do with the liquid, and the powers it gave him. 

For awhile, he hid this gift from the heavens. He had learned how to take it off, and he rarely ever allowed it back onto his skin for the first few weeks after the incident. That was until he foiled a robbery using the power it gave him. Dark Matter started to make a name for himself as a vigilante. Then they came. Men in all black with tranquilizer guns captured Dark Matter before he could even raise a finger in defense.
These men brought Dark to a newly developing place called Fallen Shadows. There, they experimented on him mercilessly. One particularly risky experiment went horribly wrong. An attempt to change the chemical makeup of the material that had formed to Dark’s skin worked, but also had dire consequences. The material became permanently attached to Dark Matter’s body. It also damaged part of Dark Matter’s brain, causing memory loss and turned him emotionally unstable.
