Hey, all, Dax here! If you're reading this, congrats! You are reading my very first interest check posted here on the new site and you should feel privleged! Don't worry, I'm not that full of myself...most of the time XD Nah, I'm just kidding. I tend to be pretty easy to get along with and love to make new friends, which leads me to my first rule: If you RP with me, please be willing to talk at least on a semi-regular basis. Whether it be strictly RP-related or just shooting the shit, I don't mind, as long as we speak to each other. I find that RP's have a much higher chance of surviving if both partners are willing to communicate...much like marriage, now that I think about it Second rule: Please make an IC post at least once every week or so. I understand that real life can be a bitch and get in the way, which is why I'm not asking for a post a day or whatever. If you know you won't be able to reply within that time frame, use common courtesy and please let me know. Same thing goes for if you lose interest: instead of just disappearing and leaving me wondering whether or not you got eaten by a plesiosaur, let me know and we can hopefully work something out. Third rule: Maturity. Language, gore, sex, etc., I'm fine with it all, as long as there's a story behind it. If our characters are going at it (violently or romantically) on the back of a giant banana creme pie with spiderlegs running at thirty thousand miles an hour down a rainbow bridge at the bottom of the ocean toward a Mystic Electric Fan of Light while a much bigger bunny rabbit of doom chases them, I'd like to know how they got there...as well as how it's possible. Another thing: if our characters are gonna be intimately involved, I'd appreciate it if they were in a relationship deeper than friends. I'll also abide within your boundaries: If you want our characters to censor their language, I'm fine with it. If you wanna fade to black, go for it. Fourth rule: I only do MxF pairings and I'm more comfortable playing the male role, at least as far as leads go. Also, unless it's specifically been decided otherwise, I'd like to have supporting characters in our RP's, mainly because they tend to give more depth into the story, especially if they're dealing with their own problems and whatnot. Fifth rule: ...There is no fifth rule. I just put this here because I like the number five more than I do four XD That just about covers everything. Now, onto the reason behind me making this thread, other than hopefully making new friends: Recently, I had finished playing through Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII for the PSP and the end left me questioning whether or not I should spare my feelings and just stop playing video games for the rest of time. Then, like the moron I am, I had an idea: Why not make an RP in which the hero character dies while trying to make it back to their loved one? Personally, I both hate and love the idea, mainly because feels are sure to be invoked. But, I have a feeling that if I don't at least put this out there, it'll constantly be on my mind and nobody wants that. I don't have any specifics other than what I've outlined planned out, yet, but I'm sure we could brainstorm something awesome. And if that's too feelsy for you, then let me know and we could come up with something great. PM me if you're interested and I shall reply ASAP ^^ Now, if you've read through the rules, include the twenty-fifth word from the end of rule four written backwards in your response PM if you're interested :3 EDIT: As of the moment of editing this, I am in the mood for something long-term with plenty of character development, but also a lot of action and some romance. I'm up for RP's in either cyberpunk, futuristic-, modern-, or medieval-fantasy, or even flat-out sci-fi. PM me if interested :) NEW EDIT, GOOD LORD: Believe it or not, I'm still interested in everything listed here, but I also have some things to add. I've developed a bit of a craving for something in the Cyberpunk 2077 universe, in particular. Also, had a bit of an idea bouncing around since yesterday for a baseline plot: One of our characters has already gone through the whole "saving the world" shtick and, as such, they're already basically a demi-god. Having already done their job, saved all the cats in trees, etc., what's one to do with all that power? Well, retire. Settle down in a nice village somewhere, maybe do some farming. After all the chaos and stress of having the world on their shoulders, the hero deserves a nice, quiet retirement, don't they? After the other character is introduced, this could go any number of ways. A nice, simple slice-of-life where our characters gradually learn more about each other, maybe even fall in love. Or, we could create some new, more dangerous threat and make this a kind of "we gotta get the band back together" sort of deal, where our characters travel the world to find the members of the original party. The possibilities are limited only by our imagination! New update: Based off of Frieren, our characters are a pair or part of a group of adventurers years or even decades after the big bad was taken out by a party of heroes. Our characters decide to retrace the heroes' journey, revisiting places the heroes had helped out, learning about everything they had done, not only in a big-picture kinda way, but also how they helped everyone on their way. Very slice-of-life/coming-of-age kinda story.
