Maruki was helped to his feet by the new kid, who was about three years younger as he was, judging by his looks he was also younger as Shisen. The kid got cocky questioning Kiru if he was right in his decision. If he was not beaten up he would show this little kid, he took an instant dislike to the young genin who didn't even bother to introduce himself, the arrogance. As soon as he stood and walked a few steps Maruki pushed the kid away as gently as he could muster "it are my arms that are injured, not my legs. I can walk on my own" said Maruki. Slowly walking and falling back to Shisen and Arashi, Maruki overheard the conversation between Kirugetsu and Kino about chakra nature "Kirugetsu-sensei" started Maruki "I am not tested either" then he turned to the new member of their team "Maybe you can bring a chakra paper for me too?" he asked as politely as he could. The naive Hyuuga kid was always friendly and tried to be friends with everyone, especially his teammates.

Kino formed an arrow in his hand and threw it at a rock, shattering it into a hundred pieces with rained down on Maruki and Shisen. he decided not to mention it, it probably wasn't on purpose anyway. Kiru seemed to deem it necessary to show off some of his own power and to lecture the kid. And just by looking at Kirugetsu the kid copied it. Maruki hated to admit it but the kid was pretty sharp and catcher on quickly. Also telling Kiru he was able to perform the shadow clone technique picked Maruki's interest. Despite the age of the kid he was quite skilled in his own way. perhaps they could learn stuff from each other.

After a short scuffle between Kiru and Kino, Maruki limped over to the two other men and turned to talk to Kino "say, you probably catches my name already but i didn't get yours... what do you say we'd train sometime soon together. I think we can earn a lot from each other, I'm sure it'll be beneficial for the both of us"
