[@Eveekitten] If you're still accepting people I'd love to take part, hopefully this fits the bill well enough? [hider=Telos Hastor] Name: Telos Hastor Age: 19 Species: Human Title: Prince of Venetia Job: 2nd in line to the throne of Venetia, royal patron of the Mages Guild of Venetia. Powers (if any): Electromancy - Like nearly all of his father's line Telos is adept at manipulating electrical energy. This can range from generating a small static charge to warm his drinks whilst studying, to calling forth bolts of lightning to strike those who would dare harm the people of Venetia. Telepath - A gift of his mother's lineage Telos has a degree of telepathic ability. Whilst it is not as natural to him as his father's Electromancy Telos has mastered a few useful applications of his talents. At present Telos can use his abilities to get a very accurate empathetic read of people making him an excellent diplomat and counsellor. On occasion, and typically with people he has read before he can catch snatches of their thoughts, he continues to refine this power as best he can. Weapons (if any): Veritas a finely wrought silvered rapier symbolic of his rank, is ever at Telos' side. His father and elder brother also bear silvered rapiers their's respectively being called Imperium and Bellum reflecting the trinity of men who presently rule Venetia and their respective talents. Likes: Reading Magic Technology (Chiefly Clockwork, a new interest of many Venetians) Fighting (Typically that of a noble style, duelling rather than brawling) Venetia and Venetian Culture His Family Oratory Dislikes: Threats to Venetia Stupidity Unfounded Confidence Breaches of Noble Etiquette and Protocol The Pressure on him to succeed Talents: If it is a matter of erudition then Telos is likely to have a measure of familiarity with it. Beyond that he is the epitome of what Venetian noblemen wish to become, quick with rapier and word alike, and magically adept. Personality: A sharp minded man Telos doesn't like to be idle, he is never to be found without a book on his person just in case things get boring. This latent restlessness spills over into his general demeanour, meaning that whilst he can be serious when he needs to, more often than not he is as jovial as circumstances will allow. This pleasant demeanour is cast aside however, should Telos feel he, Venetia, or those he cares about have been wronged. He is more than willing to duel anybody who'd offer him an insult as is expected of a Venetian prince, and there are few who would like to have his considerable intellect applied to matters of their destruction. Background: Prince Telos Hastor is the 2nd born son of King Titus Hastor and Queen Livia Hastor. From childhood he has been trained to be a refined and skilled gentleman, and whilst his elder brother was destined to rule, it was Telos who showed an aptitude for the arcane arts. To this end Telos spent most of his formative years with various Magi mastering his magical talents so as to not bring ruin to those around him. Furthermore he was taught the nobleman's arts being taught: history, oratory, philosophy, science and fencing. Eventually he began to take on responsibilities in court, and at the age of 18 was named the royal patron of the Mages Guild of Venetia. Upon turning 19 it was decided by his father that Venetia needed to strengthen its ties with the rest of the world, and that his younger son could do with experience outside the world of Venetian nobility. Thus it was decided that he'd be sent to Avalon with the intention of establishing relations between Venetia and Avalon.
