Given that you're in Florida, it also seems wholly unlikely that the ethnic makeup of the farmhands supported learning Polish, German, or Russian.
These were all nationalities who were working as itinerant labour around the US during the 20s and 30s, having been displaced from Europe during the Great War. As such MJ would've known at least some of them in her capacity on the farm during this time. However your point is taken and since everyone seems to be going with English speaking Americans the Bilingual trait seems a little redundant for now.
Viewing blacks as livestock is pretty extreme, especially considering Farmer Tackett is more of a prejudiced hick than a cross-burning eugenecist, so I'd like to see that toned down.
This was the prevailing social view of coloured folk in 1930s Florida, especially in the hick towns out in the country where social reforms were nonexistent. The situation was so bad with casual floggings, lynching and the spread of extreme racist ideologies that 8% of the African American population migrated to the northern states between 1916–1930, with a further 12% leaving 1930-1970. Again I concede your point though, I was a little worried about my ability to play as such a prejudiced character in the first place, so making her more 'cosmopolitan' will just make it easier for me.
