[indent]Deep from the isle of Ireland, a humble family from the small village of Bradach, which had fallen under due to poverty hitting most of Ireland during the late 1700s, a few families who had donned the name Brady sought a better life, so they sought out a better life for themselves in the newly-discovered continent of America. They did so with just the clothes on their backs and a drive as thick as their accents to motivate them to a new settlement in the midwestern state of Illinois. Once there, along with fellow shipmates, the Anglo-Saxon Christian Family, the Hortons, began their efforts to build upon the foundation they stumbled upon.

In the years of building and laying roots in the town of Salem, the Bradys were among the few families that lasted throughout history. Their contributions to law and order solidified their permanent residence within Salem’s growing community. Most of their descendents have gone into the professions that, more often than not, had them risking their lives in one way or another. Being a public servant has always been the calling card to a Brady. Whether this had them pursue careers in the food service business or more danger-oriented/justice-centric professions like lawyer and police officer, one thing that could be taken away from this is the following: the Brady Family is a family of proud members of Salem’s rich history. They take great pride in being able to protect them in one way or another.

[hider=About The Hortons][indent]The Hortons, much like the Bradys, came to Salem in numbers that could still be considered low and on boats, no less. They built their own legacy by working for it. Everything they had -whatever it is - was earned the old fashioned way: through hard labor and with an unyielding, hardened hope that one day, somewhere down the line, the descendants of the Hortons wouldn’t have to suffer through the same life-and-death experiences that those in the 1800s had to endure.

And, again, the Hortons and the Bradys have always had a special bond. They’re often described as a brotherhood. As such, the two families had led to some innovations that Salem still is known for today. For the Hortons, they are widely known for the expanding of Salem into the center of many businesses - small and large - that have set up shop in Salem. Another thing they are probably most known for is making sure that every citizen of Salem, legal or not, is given the right to affordable healthcare and the right to an education. As such, such places like Salem Community College & Night School, as well as University Hospital. These achievements have set the foundation for the Horton Family, which, as it turns out, most Hortons in history have grown up to be doctors and lawyers. 

This isn’t a coincidence as the founding members of the Horton family were known to be very skilled diplomatically as well as excellent doctors. They’ve also been noted for being tenacious and hard-headed. Due to these common traits, their professions often lead them into the direct line of fire and out on the frontlines. In the history of the Hortons, added to being doctors, they’ve chosen the careers of lawyers, journalists, police officers, politicians with wholesome values, and, thought a rarity, sometimes even roles in the corporate/business world.[/indent]

[hider=About The Castillos][indent]The Castillo Family has always been surrounded by controversy. Their connections with the Juarez Cartel, the way they operate in the boardroom as well in their personal lives, and just a long list of other questionable actions they’ve taken over the years. Truth be told, the family has never been all that clear about a lot of things, but it cannot be denied that they hold influence all around the world, especially in Mexico, the place of their origins. With a seemingly unlimited amount of funds coming from somewhere, they afford the best care for their young, the best cars and entertainment for the adults in the family, and above all else, the best product for their more...off the books clientele.

Despite everything that happened in the 1980s to the 2000s and how Emilio ended up in prison for 15 years, the Castillo Family has still maintained their influence and wealth. Despite their more illegal funds waning down over the years, Castillo Co. has kept itself near the top of the business world for Salem. Of course, this is due to the elder men of the Castillo Family - Emilio’s siblings and their eldest children - taking the reigns around their various headquarters around the world, while Emilio’s children (when they came of age) took over the day-to-day operations of his company in his stead. This was due to the fact that he couldn’t leave their estate for the Salem Police Force put him on house arrest.[/indent]

[hider=About The Zimas][indent]It suits the Zima family well to have the right investments at the beginning of their rise to the top in Russia. With the backing of the Kremlin, their influence, much like many families of their type, spreads far and wide from the coasts of Greece all the way to the sky-reaching towers of New York. Additionally, much like families who lead a secret life of organized crime, they’ve done well to fuse their legitimate income with the piles of green they’ve brought in more than enough money to establish their dominance in most areas of the corporate world.

But, as far as their personal ties go, the Zima family has a long list of members ranging from Vladimir Boris’ bloodline that has spawned over a dozen children with children of their own, which produces over a hundred members of the Zima family, though the ones that live in Salem belong to Vladimir Boris’ eldest son, who shares one of his names. His marriage to the daughter of a well-known business man, Natasha Tatiana has produced him five, beautiful children, all of whom show great promise to be just like their parents. 

In their short time of being in Salem for no more than 14 years, their presence in Salem has led to many endeavors including but not limited to: establishing business relationships, charitable foundations and contributions, owning the previously-owned Mossos Mansion, becoming members of the Salem City Council, and so many more. The Zima Family is most known as giving a helping hand to the Salem Police Department that led to the arrest of Emilio Castillo, as well as weakening the overall influence that the Castillo Family had over Salem officials. As a direct result, the Zima Family entered an unseen, mostly-private war with the Castillo Family.[/indent]

[hider=About The Carvers][indent]There’s not much to say about the Carver Family. Their family tree has a lot of famous politicians and other such people. They are Salem’s newest established family, yet their reputation is probably the best right next to the Hortons and the Bradys. They have such a positive reputation within the public that the head of the Carver Family, Abraham Carver, recently became Mayor of Salem, earning the vote of confidence with not only citizens of Salem, he also won the hearts of the city council. It should go without saying that his family is above reproach. 

What else could be said? The Carver Family is like any other family who value the truth and honesty above everything else.
