Logan, along with her twin sister, were not exactly what their father, Benjamin Thomas, was expecting. He had been lead to believe that he was going to be having twin boys. He was super excited about it. He was pumped to do all sorts of boy shit, like play football and roughhouse with them. That was, until the day Logan and Kendall Thomas were born. 

To say he was surprised is a severe understatement. But, he wasn't going to be rejecting his twin daughters. He took it in stride, but because he was so prepared for boys, he couldn't think of other names for the girls. The doctors kept grilling him about names. But for whatever reason, the only name he could come up with were those of his ex-girlfriends. Eventually, he bit the bullet and gave them the names that he was going to name his sons. 

Logan and Kendall grew up with the excellent cooking of Ben Thomas, as he was still the long time chef of the Sunshine Diner. However, since he was at the diner so much, that caused them to be home with their mom, who also wasn't around enough for them to really benefit. As a result, Logan and Kendall started to take different paths in life as they continued to go through the years. Logan being the ideal daughter, whereas Kendall is not really the ideal daughter.
