[@vancexentan] I was a little uncertain of how to approach it, honestly. I'm trying to figure out how to have it as a kind of Half-Hot Half-Cold quirk, where one parent has a quirk that essentially amounts to the abilities of Taskmaster, whereas the other parent is essentially Luke Cage, but he's severely limited by his own laziness. The main CS for now is basically a proof of concept and I'm aiming to expand on his background and recruitment over the next 24-36 hours. I suppose in the end I'm aiming at creating a character that is incredibly capable, yet equally unmotivated. The basic gist of things is that he encountered Black Tree during an illegal poker game, since no one else in the legitimate scene would go against him and he was cocky that he could handle any backlash or accusations of cheating. After a scuffle, a Black Tree member (who specifically I leave to your discretion), notices the potential he possesses and Shill, who is still living with his parents at that point, agrees to the invite in an effort to escape his parents nagging and to essentially do what he wants without the expectations of other weighing over him. He would have more than likely been put to work by Shade Walker under threat of death long ago if it hadn't been for his ability to provide the group with some degree of extra income from a fairly profitable market (using his quirk for what amounts to cheating and rigging tournaments), all in exchange for nothing more than the latest games & systems, junk food and 20% of his winnings. Did you have any suggestions on how I could synergise his quirk a little better? Perhaps bring his reaction speed down to about silver medal Olympian speed so he can still dominate the FGC scene, making him weak against speedsters? Maybe half his strength or bring it down to silver medal level too so all he really has aside from the Taskmaster quirk is superhuman endurance that allows him to tank hits long enough to learn them? I will be honest, my original inspiration for this was the game God Hand, but I thought that would be too OP or close to One For All.
