ADAM EVANS Adam Evans grunted as he pulled his head up from the glass table that he was resting it on a moment ago. A bit of fine white powder adorned the tip of his nose until he sniffled and wiped it away. He drew in a long noisy breath through his teeth and let out a long, drawn-out sigh before the effects of the drug kicked in. He was running low and he didn't know if he'd be able to find his stash any time soon, he'd left it on the other side of the city. Maybe it would have been a good time for him to quit? Just one more hit... He'd always say when those thoughts popped into his head. Just one more time... He'd always thought. He was running low on food now too, he'd have to leave the garage he was held up in soon and go find some. Maybe he'd just say to hell with it and cross the whole city and pick up his stash while he was at it too. Adam stepped up to the window and looked through. It was pretty clear of walkers, one or two were roaming around but he could get by them. As the drugs kicked in at full force he thought now or never and plucked his shotgun up, slinging it over his shoulder as he shoved the garage door open and ran out as fast as he could. A walker stumbled into him and he pulled a Han Solo, turning around and sprinting back inside, locking the garage door behind him. I think I'll give it a day... he thought. SAMANTHA BAXTER Sam pushed open a brown wooden door and pointed her .357 inside. It was clear but she heard a moaning coming from one of the back rooms. She holstered her gun and slid the pipe from her backpack, holding it up high. She stepped into the house and headed for the hallway off to her right. She heard the moaning coming from the last door but just to be safe she checked every one along the way. They were all clear, so at last she progressed to the end of the hallway. When she reached the end she took a deep breath and opened up the door. Immediately a walker descended down onto her, she whacked it as hard as she could on the temple and sent it reeling into the wall. Then another two came pouring out and her only option was to back up. She slammed her pipe down onto the first one's head and it fell to the floor dead but the other two were still coming. She backed up back down the hallway and turned around to see another walker coming straight for her. She kicked it as hard as she could in the chest and sent it to the ground, then hopped over it and bolted back out the door. She ran as quickly as should could across the street and into another house, this one had a red door. She went through the process of checking every room again in this one to find no walkers or supplies and twenty minutes after entering she found herself securing a heavily windowed room on the top floor to retire in for the night.
