Daphne, Dorothy and Fitz

Location: Lower Deck Skills: None
Daphne was still somewhat pissed off after the whole exchange with Anisa, but it didn't matter right then, she was on the hunt to try and find Fitz. Wondering where exactly he was. She went down to the lower decks of the ship, eventually running into him. "Hey there Fitz." "Daphne, I-I-I-I...." Fitz stammered, staring at her. Dorothy fell back slightly. She didn't want to know what Anisa would do if they were still on the ship by when time ran out, but she did want to give Daphne some space. Anisa was right - she did baby her sister. If Daphne wanted the engineer to come with them, this was on her. Fitz gulped, staring at Daphne with a red face. "....I...I...." "...Well if you couldn't guess... My sister and I are leaving the ship... And well, I was wondering..." she said, hesitating slightly. Daphne had noticed her sister take a step or two away from her, and she was kind of glad for it this time around. "Well, I was wondering if you wanted to come with us? I mean you don't have to, but um..." she said, though her face was slightly red. Fitz stared at Daphne. The disturbing racism he had seen earlier and the sounds of the fighting all slipped away. He even forgot about Atticus' disgusting corpse - though he would no doubt have nightmares about it coming alive to eat him later - and he just stared at Daphne. "I-I-I...." He swallowed thickly, knowing the words he wanted to say but it was hard to get them out. "I....I....um...D-D-Daphne....I...." "What is it Fitz?" Daphne asked, looking over at him, giving him a small smile. She wasn't too sure what else to say, and clearly he was having some problems talking to her about something, though he did almost always stutter or something. It made her wonder what was going through his head, and what he wanted to say to her. She seriously liked the guy, and hoped that he would come with them. He turned bright red, seeing Daphne smile at him. His brain was glitching out majorly and he was shaking. Dorothy glanced over, shaking her head slightly. Those two were so painfully obvious and it made her wonder if everyone else had known she cared for Atticus before she did. "I....Um.....D-d-did y-you kn-kn-know that cl-cl-classical mechanics predicts that an electron would collapse into the nucleus through loss of energy?" "I uh... Didn't know that... So, what's it going to be Fitz? Are you, um... Wanting to come with us and we leave the ship? Maybe find a new one, or better one, or whatever... Could even try to get a ship of our own, I mean we have most of what you'd need for a crew, pilot, doctor, and engineer..." she said, looking at the ground slightly. "I-I-I....I....I th-think I want to go wherever you go..." "...Really?" she asked, she couldn't help but be at least somewhat surprised by that. They hadn't known each other for very long, so she couldn't help but wonder what he was thinking. He wanted to go with her, but hardly knew her, or her sister, it was just surprising in her mind, but she was glad he wanted to come. "Y-y-yeah, y-y-you're nice...and...and I w-w-wouldn't need to worry about Anisa grinding my bones for seasoning...A-a-a-and your hair smells like strawberries...." She gave him a small smile, "...Alright then Fitz, let's see about getting out of here," she said, glad that he was coming along. Daphne wasn't too sure what her sister thought of this entire situation, especially since she had just lost Atticus, but she didn't really care about Dorothy's thoughts or anything at the moment. Actually she had somewhat forgotten that Dorothy was even there at this point. Dorothy was about to making a biting comment about Fitz and Daphne being a bit pathetic with their affection for one another, but she shut her mouth. She had lost Atticus. Anisa had lost Jackson. Why put added pressure and tension on one of the few potential couples left alive on this ship? "We best leave now," Dorothy said simply, heading to leave the ship. "Uh... Right..." she said, remembering her sister's presence now. Though she wasn't too thrilled about her sister interrupting their conversation. "... So come on Fitz, let's go..."
