I know how you feel. A lot of times I wish RPs would just have you list basic info on your character, Age, Gender, Species, etc, so you can flesh out the character's personality and backstory IC. It also makes questions from other characters regarding your characters life or interests feel more natural as the user you're RPing with isn't simply fishing for a piece of information they read about in your CS.

So far, Marrok in his Red Hood: Initiates RP is the only one on here, besides the creators of the Myriad Reality roleplay, that I've seen do this, though I'm sure others have done the same at some point as well.
