I continue on my trek, with various leaves crunching under my own leafy feet, however... I notice something... that exact same waterfall that I saw not too long ago. What!? No, I know I went in a straight line! Something just doesn't seem right, here... I think as I test something. I observe the area, and recall which direction I came from. After figuring it all out, I turn to my right, and find... nope, this isn't the entrance, in fact, it's far from it. This was a new, and frankly unfamiliar part of the forest. D-did someone else enter this place? I hope not, or I might never find my way to that magikarp. was one of the thoughts running through my head as I frantically look for anything resembling anywhere that I was already familiar with, and kind of landmark that I could recognize from that brief moment I lived here with Vine and my parents... but no... nothing at all. Is it then, possible that whatever made this place into a mystery dungeon also created new forest portions? But... how would it, or really anything even DO that? Of course, I may be jumping to conclusions, after all, it's not like I've searched through and was familiar with every cubic inch of the forest... even if I did live there. Heck, some pokemon who live in Allure or Treasure town don't even know every inch of that place, and that's comparatively small and plain. This forest, being a forest was large and complex, which I suppose could have explained why I didn't know every tiny nook and cranny in my own hometown. That being said, the 'wild' pokemon around here sure didn't treat me any differently. After my little episode, I continued downwards, or, southwards? Meh, something like that. I was never all that great with directions, anyways, and I was already hopelessly lost, so... I kinda didn't keep track of my actual location, and started humming some sort of tune to pass the time as I walked through Birchwood Forest, bumping into a Patrat as I did. The thing tackled me as soon as I bumped into it, and I ended up using vine whip out of sheer reflex from the hit. It didn't seem to like that very much, and tried another tackle... just when I was thinking that this was going to be another one of 'those' battles, where each side uses the same move over and over again, I use vine whip, but this time, he uses growl, making me feel kinda weaker, somehow... probably just because he sounded helpless when he used that move, and I started to feel kinda bad for hurting the little guy. I tried to shake off that feeling, but it didn't go away until I finished the thing off with another vine whip... well, okay, it got a little worse for a while, but then it went away, allowing me to continue, and, somehow pass that same waterfall again... great, I thought I was lost before, but nope, now I'm officially as lost as one could possibly be, with my horrible sense of direction probably about to prove me wrong by making things even worse.
