No government people moving in to take him away for questioning or experimentation or whatever? That's sort of why I preferred the first option of my suggestions, cleaner and raises fewer questions.

I'm not sure why so many bios have brought up the tournament as if we're opening on one but... well, we're not. We're opening with Saiyans landing on Earth. No Tournament happening any time in the near future.
