Shannon knew he was going to ask. It was written all over his face. She instantly regretted knocking on that window now, even if she knew there was no way she [i]wasn't[/i] going to have done that. The thought of traveling with someone new so soon after Lexi made Shannon feel just awful. "I... Well..." She stammered, realizing there was no way she could say no. Her mind drifted toward all of the people that had left her in the past. Her hands balled into fists, knowing that the same fate would befall James or herself eventually.

After a moment of silence, Shannon nodded. "Okay, let's stick together." She looked down at her weapons. "I didn't have much of a plan in mind, but I've been looking around for supplies. How about you?"
